Since Russia invaded its neighbour, Ukrainian culture has been enjoying a revival. Folklore in particular is a means of resisting the invader by strengthening the country’s cultural identity. Tracks East looks at the craze for traditional song and dance as well as the refusal of some artists to express their patriotism through music.

  1. Good lord. Nationalism in full display. Nothing to do with "revival", more so with cosplaying and romanticizing something that doesn't exist anymore. Nationalism will never not be creepy to me.

  2. What a beautiful people. Seeing all the festival goers in their traditional embroidered clothes and flower crowns was moving. I think the photographer was way too cynical. Singing clearly is an important part of Slavic culture, the women singing together on the bus showed that.

  3. Interesting that a left-wing channel is showing something positive about National pride, when the left is fully active in destroying it with it's support of W.E.F open bored policies and Corporate Fascism, or call it Communism, there really it's much of a difference between the two.
