We haven't gotten to the two crazy eikon fights of the game and Square already has two DLC on the way.
I really think he just forgot he has a magic button. Forget remembering to do burst combos, this man has unintentionally nerfed his moveset until further notice. We can only hope the upcoming tutorial for Ifrit's backdraft move jogs his memory.

Edit: ok so he did a charged shot. And I think I saw him hesitate for a second and recognize something was off. You know it also doesn't help he has his Frankenstein button-mapping, idk what button he even has magic on.
Yes I'm sort of obsessing over something that ultimately has little bearing on his overall enjoyment of the game, but I enjoyed this game's combat so much BECAUSE of a mechanic like burst, Mr. Max Act himself deserves to know.

I genuinely think it's funny that Reggie can remember offhand comments from the demo but neither of them knew who the "new twink" was even tho it's been almost explicitly explained and very clear who it is. Makes me feel better that I can't remember Clives third great nieces favorite color.
