The driver who crashed into a Mar Vista home, sparking a fire, has been identified as actress Anne Heche.
The car, a 2020 Mini Copper, went through the house, causing a massive fire. Firefighters knocked down the flames within an hour and eventually pulled the car out of the home.
LAFD says the driver was rescued and taken to the hospital in critical condition. Images from SkyFOX appear to show Heche trying to get out of the gurney she was placed in.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the vehicle came to rest within a 738- square-foot two-story home, built in 1952, causing structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Anne bursting out from the blanket is just amazing. Reaching out, or “coming to” attempting to fight for her life, is just incredible. How this amazing woman reaches back from the other side, if just heart wrenching. Apparently the firemen thought she had expired. The fact that she was taken off life support later speaks volumes about the people carrying out her wishes and having to make that most difficult decision. OMG! Forever RIP Anne Heche…. I will tell you what it looked like in my opinion, Anne was alive and they (whoever) killed her after the fact. Notice her hair, the top she was wearing (that looked wet), her feet that were sticking out and her arms were NOT even burned in any way! Pay Attention!!!!! Things are not as we have been told.

Anyone find it extremely bizarre that they had her body completely covered up? I have multiple family members that were medics, and usually one of the first things you do is get oxygen on someone. Well it is very easy to criticize critique. What I heard was it took 1 hrs to pull/two the car out, they first need to make sure they can safely extricate and when fire is involved I dont want someone taking my vitals, putting a C collared starting IV before they take me out of the burning vehicle. They probably recognized her and realized whi she was and as you can see she us without clothes, probably burned off. They probably covered her to protect her identity, modesty and protect the burns. If you are a true fight5, EMT or Paramedic you know tine is a countdo6on severe burn victims and you scoop and run and to life saving measures in the ambulance. These are pre hospital life savers, they are trained to start IV and try to get a critical or trauma patient stable in a fast moving code 3 ambulance. They call the hospital while in route and the trauma team is paged and on standby and once at the hospital the transfer care and everything started in route saves the trauma team time of having to start from scratch. Please remember many time news people use their own words and may not be the facts of what really happened. Please have some respect for those who risk their lives to save others. Also, there were other people who were in potential harm in the house that caught fire too.
