  1. I am a freshman whos in ffa and i can assure we were not taught of treating riding horses like this at all. What i see this is a irresponsible company and person abusing animals but i do see benefits of horses for policemen so they can get to calls faster to help more people. Just make sure to keep an eye on them and give them plenty of water

  2. 🚨 i’m using this as an all out rant on all pet owners,
in the city, these creatures are just used for one’s desire or profit; instead of a fellow animal who aids them in their lives for protection or transport.

The idea that anyone in a highly populated city needs to own most kinds of animals, (the vision impaired & home-bound are exempt), it’s disgusting, the only people who should own a dog are people who live outside of cities, maybe you want to protect your single-family home because the cops can’t get there fast enough because you live in a suburb or in a rural area, but here in the city, we gotta deal with people who own horses, and own dogs, and have these creatures 💩 all over the street, and keep them in terrible conditions,
if i had a child and let them 💩 in the streets and sidewalks, and left them in terrible conditions, would that perfectly acceptable?
    i🤬think not.

shut down the horse carriages and create a rickshaw culture, & fine dog walkers who leave their dog’s 💩 on the ground, higher fines if they bring their dog to a kids park to 💩. smh

  3. I don't think the answer is banning. Just take freaking care of your horses. Like would we ban pets if someone was doing this to theirs?.. No. We'd just say that THAT PERSON shouldn't be allowed to have pets.

  4. Horrible to see this guy yelling at him..NYC passed that bill to protect the carriage horses from heat. ????? He even has EPM plus his age. I hope he gets better and never has to pull a carriage again. If his ribs are showing then has he had a tooth exam? Is he getting senior feed? Please retire him.

  5. Where is the blood test proving it has EPM? Every bone in his body is showing as an advocate for horses they don't go out over 90-95*F and if you've worked a horse on carriage without a break for more than 30 mins without rest, you clearly don't care about your horse .. go get riding lessons you wanna ride a horse! They aren't tools they are companions!

  6. Ryder is at a farm that sends animals to slaughter. He is not safe. "The organization believes that the farm does not have the necessary resources to properly care for Ryder due to his underlying health issues. Not only that, they say that the farm’s primary motive is to attract tourists while also criticizing the farm for selling meat from their animals.

“This farm is aligned and connected with the worst actors in the carriage-horse industry and it’s apparent that Ryder’s movement there has been designed to keep eyes off of this horse, while the industry provides false assurances that he’s recovering and at a place with excellent caretaking capacity,” Wayne Pacelle, President of the Center for a Humane Economy said.

The group is also criticizing the farm for having a primary focus on temporary lodgings rather than long-term care. It is with this in mind that many animal rights groups say they are concerned for Ryder’s future well-being.

“Ryder is currently being hidden away at a facility his abusers chose for him,” said animal rights activist and actor Alexandra Paul. “My biggest concern is that Ryder is not being given the retirement he deserves, and that he is likely to be sent to slaughter."

  7. How is this even still a thing…the horses always seem depressed doing this monotanous work. Hope humans come to their senses and these animals are given the rest of their lives in sanctuary.

  8. 1st : I hope that stupid ignorant mediocre individual has been charged for animal
Abuse and he should be ban to own any other animal, that asho…e do not deserve to own any animal . It is not the animals fault that you can not figure your freaking life and get a job !!! It is a complete shame that in a 1st world country things like this happen. Those poor animals are used by human beings for business and they are not able to give them a decent life ???? What type of ppl are you ??? Animals deserve respect !!!!

  9. This comes up every year and every year nothing is done.
What I observed in this video is cruelty.
Does the driver own the horse or works for the company.
Are there inspections as to the stable and food, comfort, are they seen by a Vet routinely, are illnesses attended to,what are the condition of their shoes ?
There must be an age for
retirement, then where are they rehomed ? I have signed many petitions through the
years.LET THIS BE THE YEAR THAT SOMETHING IS DONE BY THE CITY GOVERNMENT !

  10. In this Shameless country called USA there is No dignity & No ethics when it comes to making money. Bring wild animals (carriage horses, orcas, dolphins, etc) imprison them to make money out of them in the name of entertainment ! The owner is seen here slapping the poor horse: stand up stand up I got customers waiting, they paid I can’t let them go 😬! The wrath of God on this nation is near and The signs are already in (Natural disasters & Russia) amen 🙏 I learned not to feel bad for any nation or person suffering from poverty, war, natural disasters or any inflictions ! Humans are the most vile dangerous creatures in existence.
