I have an easter island potential answer. I have access to bathymetry in 1 foot increments of anywhere in the world and I have found a 700' wide crater 1 mile off shore near Ovahe Beach. It is 700 feet deep in the center with a rim around it that rises to 140 feet from the surface. A meteor impact 1 mile from shore of that size could inundate the entire 14 mile long island, wiping off every tree and depositing ejecta from the crater and the seafloor with a massive tsunami. I can't believe how degrading we can be. Humans have always been intelligent and creative since the beginning of mankind. We have never been dumb. No life on planet Earth is dumb. Get it through your thick skulls that all life is extremely intelligent for its kind. Humans use tools and have always used tools. These videos make me feel like humanity has become extremely arrogant in the 20th century.
What ticks me off is that a lot of these ancient ruin sites are now exposed to the elements. That will ruin them even faster than when they were buried under earth and sand. That makes me angry. Archeologists don't seem to realize that these ancient sites were (possibly) buried purposely to preserve them for many, many millennium. And now they are being unveiled to quicken the process of erosion. That's really sad to me.
You know those tombs were NOT standing upright, they were laying down. So why are they displayed standing up? There are also protective spirits protecting each and every tomb. Where are these spirits now supposed to reside when they specifically were asked to reside in the tombs where the mummies resided? Are they supposed to travel with the mummy? What damage might that cause? Wouldn't that disturb the tombs? We are a stupid race.

Atlantis…..ponder this. The Nile is a very ancient river that flowed long before the Mediterranean basin held water. At it’s delta, the canyons drop to well over a mile in depth. We know that underwater landslides happen frequently on these canyon walls, even more so in earthquake prone area. It would be plausible that Atlantis was merely a coastal port city built on the delta that succumb to a massive landslide. The cubic acres of silt would have certainly buried any structures.

I think it’s safer to say that there’s this wealth of surviving wonders left by civilizations long past. They’re truly baffling and perhaps one of their most important qualities is their tendency to stimulate our imaginations and fuel our sense of wonder at how in the hell they managed to perform these feats of unparalleled craftsmanship.
But it’s so important to remind oneself of the countless ways in which we and our perspectives are divorced from those of the time period in question. Did they do all of this with only the tools and methods from that time of which we have evidence? Probably not. Did they have mega-sized CNC milling machines capable of reproducing near exact replicas, powered by nuclear pyramids? Probably not lol. Will we ever know for sure? I fuckin hope not. As with most things, I think that we’d (as a general population of humans) lose much interest in the history of our kind if we had all of the answers. With each mystery solved, we’d grow bored. I think it should be sufficient to simply concede that these people used the knowledge, tools, and methods that they were capable of developing and implementing, and applied that knowledge, those tools and methods, to a craft which has since long lost its relevance in the collective human culture. But idk 🤷🏼♂️
