Olorgesailie, in southern Kenya, offers a glimpse into the lives of Homo erectus around 1 million to 300,000 years ago. This site is rich in Acheulean tools and fossilized remains of Theropithecus oswaldi, a giant baboon. Evidence suggests that Homo erectus used these tools to hunt the baboons, likely employing cooperative strategies to ambush their prey. The site highlights the technological and social skills of Homo erectus in adapting to their environment.

Excellent and informative,,,,thank you…
It cracks me up when these videos never show human genitalia. 🤔😂
Homoerectus sounds like a bad night in jail.
Love this channel. ❤ this is for the algorithm but is no less true. 😊
I have to ask what do you think the other 'people' are that mated with the West Sub Saharan Africans around 43,000 years ago and your thoughts on Iho Eleru with supposed dating of 13,500 years ago. What is going on here did a super archaic lineage live on well into modern times and Sub Saharan Africans are up to 19% of that lineage?.
Theropithecus Oswaldi was a grazing herbivore with a diet similar to modern day Gelada. I think there is some pretty inaccurate info in this video. You may have confused different Old world monkey species. It is theorized that they went extinct because of homo erectus but they were not some kind of fierce predator like your video implies.
It’s quite interesting the connection between human and animal. I am about to take a Zooarchaeology class this semester and it’s quite interesting the idea of how humans and our ancestors treated animals, even while hunting or in death, especially concerning bone assemblages or how the bones were cut etc. Excellent video made me think!
Great video!!
An aggressive prey could be baited and flanked.
Stop censoring.!
Sad day when self censoring is so bad that you have to blur out animated breast
Unadapted Cronos devolved, like nimrod as a beast in the field… Ars!
What do you think is the opdest humanid, human ancestor? 6 milion years i heard you say before is that correct ?
Lol blurring boobs and penjs, google breast feed and there are the boobs. Look for birth and you see them popping out the pvssy.
Logic is flawed but I appreciate the video. So many assumptions treated as facts. Keep it up. We need people to keep trying to further our understanding
Wow they hunted animals the same size as them 😂
One thing often overlooked is the possibility of trapping.
If it weren’t for hunting, we wouldn’t be here now…
Hunting (not only for traditions and historical reasons) speacilly for population species management, integration of the territories of natural reserves with the lifes of local populationsn, and as food source should actually not only be allowed but way more incentivized in way more countries… were the ecodumb ongmoneystealing policies are placed nowdays.
0:56 … hold up
Had me rolling when he said 140lbs was the weight of an average female gorilla 😂
