  1. um, so why did you have to show the black people when you start talking about the famine. You should a RECENT pic of black people starving when you are talking about something that happened in Before CHRIST! There was no other picture of people you could have showed. Anytime you talk about Egypt you rarely show black people unless they are in peril. All other drawings are of paler people. It's rude and insensitive.

  2. The one lesson that comes out of the fall of the last of the roman empire is that the lowly worker is the most important people in an civilization and should make the most money. While the elites should be ran out of town because they are the most worthless people and do nothing for the civilization.

  3. I love Katrina’s voice! Her tone, cadence, and overall positive vibe is so comforting. She really makes things even more intriguing and I feel like I’m being tricked into learning 🤓

  4. If it was the black plaque the bodies would have been burned and if they were attacked there would have been cuts on their bones. The time period mentioned for all events we’re all around the time of the great flood and this would explain the hundreds of skeletons found all grouped together.

  5. There are plenty of modern cities that have doomed themselves the same way Florida is one New York's another and you go all over the world and you're looking at many many places that are free doomed due to flooding

  6. JESUS I SO SICK OF EXPLAINING THIS!! THERE WAS NEVER ANY SUCH THING AS THE BYZANTINE EMPIRE!! BYZANTIUM WAS THE NAME OF THE CITY BEFORE EMPEROR CONSTANTINE CHANGED THE NAME TO CONSTANTINOPLE!! THAT IS ALL!! IT WAS EASTERN ROMAN EMPIRE AND WHEN THE WESTERN EMPIRE COLLAPSED, IT JUST BECAME THE ROMAN EMPIRE UNTIL IT FELL TO THE INVADING EVIL TURKISH BARBARIANS!! IF NOT FOR THE FIRST PLAGUE OUTBREAK THE EASTERN EMPIRE WOULD OF RECONQUERED THE WESTERN EMPIRE MAKING THE ROMAN EMPIRE WHOLE AGAIN AND IT NEVER WOULD OF FALLEN TO THE TURKISH BARBARIANS! OR BEEN SACKED BY THE VENETIANS BEFORE THAT! EVEN WITH ITS FALL TO THE TURKS THE EMPIRE MOVED TO RUSSIA WHICH IS WHY THE RUSSIAN MONARCHS CALLED THE SELVES CZARS WHICH IS RUSSIAN FOR CAESAR WHICH MEANS THE RUSSIANS BELIEVED THEMSELVES TO BE THE HEIRS OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE SO THE ROMAN EMPIRE DIDN'T DISAPPEAR UNTIL THE FALL OF RUSSIA TO THE EVIL COMMUNISTS!! so there was never any such thing as the byzantine empire!

  7. It's impossible for Celts to defeat Thracians! the Thracians were the strongest people and they were never defeated by anyone, they were called gods by other peoples because of their fearsome cavalry of only white war horses and the gold inlays on the armor of each soldier, the Thracian Khan led the battle by entering the battle first thus striking terror into the hearts of the enemy.

  8. hi, Katrina! the cucuteli should be called kookooteli! pretty kooky to burn your village so often. i suppose it could be in response to vermin infestation but, you'd think the time period would be shorter. rats and bugs would probably reach epidemic proportions much faster. i guess, idk, just spouting my thoughts.
anyhoo, my dear Kat, always enjoy your videos. later, gator!

  9. The 'myth' of Ubar's destruction. It is quite reminiscent of many Biblical stories of the Old Testament or Tanakh. However, it must be said, when the Lord destroyed a city or particular group of people, it was not for a casual annoyance. The destroyed worked at hacking the Lord off.
Why is this not mentioned in the Bible (Tanakh)? Who claims it isn't? Place names varied in different languages. (Not connected with this story, but just an example: Bombay – Mumbai.) If it is not mentioned – under a different name (language) it may not have had anything to do with the history of Israel. I have't read much about the history of Mongolia in the Bible, either.
But I must agree, it does sound familiar.

Cuicuilco: Did the initial planner of the city get the land at a really, really good price? Sounds much like the history of the "Flash Flood" Land Company.

Byzantium? Didn't I read something about the Ottoman Empire moving in, rather rudely?

Mascali: Destroyed (by outside forces), then rebuilt to be destroyed again? You mean like New Orleans?

  10. …..the reason given for the disappearance of the original people is written by people who destroyed them. What logic is used to say a civilization “destroyed itself”?

    Tell the truth.
