  4. I could never play well in thrash or death bands because my style of riffing was slow and lazy.
    Is it any surprise that doom metal was for me? Even before I discovered cannabis I was a slow and lazy.

  8. I was waiting for death doom to be mentioned and I was not disappointed at all. I love that subgenre and have really wanted to write some death doom music myself for years. Great video on doom metal

  19. I think doom probably has the same appeal as grunge in that you can only make things so much louder, harder, and faster before that gets boring too. Slowing things back down keeps it interesting IMO
