Every one has to remember he’s a combo card and if you draw your intentional combo he’s soooo good, like snap it good. For example, Storm into GM into Black Panther into Zola is unbeatable. And that’s just one combo out of endless possibilities. This card is going to be a staple. It’s worth noting I’m in Infinite at 7,700 SP about 4,000 rank.
if you are someone who plays for free or close to it just wait for the February/March spotlights they look way better than this
I have been playing GM on my junk deck, with combo debrii hazmat GM and use annihilus on turn 5 and it has worked pretty good… I don't feel I need Sentry or Hotgoblin anymore when my combo it's done properly.

Someone else said it perfectly in the comments already (as did another certain YouTuber) but Grandmaster is like Nico and IronLad. Yeah sometimes it's a wiff. But when I can play Gambit (on Wong), Wolfsbane (On Brood or Shaw), Surfer (on Sera Ravonna), and then Grandmaster the Surfer mid to Wong for two more procs. That shit alone is nuts. Works with Gambit, Ironheart, Mjolnir, Surfer, Cable, Hit Monkey all in Surfer decks.
Is he only good in Surfer? Well imagine you Grandmaster anything in Discard. You do the same thing. Set Wong mid. Play your cards outside. Bounce them mid. Makes the Miek game stronger and now you can play M.O.D.O.K turn 5, drop all but two swarms, force Miek to stay or go where you want, bounce M.O.D.O.K to kill the rest twice more.
Destroy. Have you ever needed to Venom or Carnage early, but you also need them for Nimrod? Play Nimrod middle so you can Bounce your destroy card mid to nom nom.
Move, Grandmaster is so much better and more reliable than Falcon/Beast. Hell you can even have Grandmaster plus Beast. Iron Fist into Human Torch, drop GM on IF, then Vulture/Dagger plus Ghost Spider, then Cloak, then Heimdall or something.
It wouldn't surprise me for the same people that sleep on IronLad to sleep on Grandmaster too, though.
I think people are jaded because they feel that resources are too expensive and demand cards either be immediately broken on release or are garbage and unplayable. People said that about Skaar and GM when both are good cards that need time. I want to make a Gladiator, GM, Skaar deck when i get Gladiator

2:33 Okay for destroy deck I think you need to put Grandmaster in with Death and Deadpool. You munch the Deadpool up, drop the Nimrod mid, Grandmaster a Destroy card to mid and then you can still play Deadpool and Death and whatever. You don't have to worry about a dead Zola lane. Trying to fit new cards into existing decks is a bit annoying. I was disappointed you of all people didn't go Surfer. You did a big swing deck with the on reveal one. You tried to go fancy junk hybrid with the Hawk. Like…. You get too fancy and then release a video about a middling card. One or two cards off, I think you need to take it back to the drawing board, lol. I just think this was a poor representative of the card is all and therefore misleading.

I paid 6k tokens for grandmaster. Im happy about my purchase. Im only missing 5 cards altogether now. Only series 5 i dont have is galactus. Ill get him eventually. I think galactus is a dirty card so I dont like him.

The card is good. I just took a on reveal combo deck (black pather, zola, wong, etc.) from 93 to infinite last night. Grand Master plays like an alternate to zola. you can set up a wong on 4 followed by Panther or Gamora on five and grandmaster with a Shang or Enchantress on 6 when you don't have the zola. He also works like an alt Odin in other situations. It felt like it made the deck very consistent.
Not tempted to get it and haven’t even seen it in play yet so I’m guessing he’s not all that.

My biggest fear for Grandmaster is him having a middling win rate but an extremely high play rate because he's a ton of fun and fits in a ton of decks so I see people playing him constantly and that getting him nerfed when he might not need it. I'm truly hoping I'm wrong and that he's just a good card that stays exactly as he is but I'm worried he might be changed for the wrong reasons.

It isn't "wtf broken" but it's a card that people are going to regret not having. With such a unique ability I can already tell I will regret it if I don't pick it up.

What about a negative Wong deck with him?
It's a shame the spotlight cache around him is so trash. There ought to be a rule against putting two season pass cards in the same cache, it's super punishing to the most loyal players. There's like a dozen or more cards I still need (Echo, Snowguard, Nico, even Howard would be welcome) and they aren't in a single cache this month or next, it's 90% season pass cards and the big bads which I already have spotlight variants for.
