America’s MASSIVE Military Airplane that is Named After a Porn Star

The C-5 galaxy, the largest strategic airlifter in the United States Air Force will boggle your mind with its the 90-degree rotating landing gear, the fact that it can kneel down, the ability to travel in reverse, and its strange passenger deck with seats that face backward toward the rear of the airplane. The C-5 has a few really cool nicknames, one of them being Linda Lovelace (You read that right!), but the reason, is #NotWhatYouThink #NWYT #longs

  1. Bro, Linda Lovelace was basically being raped in the pornfilms featuring her. And I think you should mention that she later became an feminist and anti-porn. It’s not what you think:)

  2. 4:25 was not what you think!. It was not reverse thrust in forward flight. The 747 had armored vehicles (MRAPs) that had either not been tied down correctly or that broke their moorings during a high-angle climb out due to operational conditions in Afghanistan, shifting the center of gravity and causing the plane to enter an unrecoverable stall. Love the vids but misleading use of visuals – naughty naughty!

  3. I had the privilege of not only flying on these massive planes a few times from Germany to Dover AFB but i was on the flight that brought our 241 deceased marines from the Beirut bombing to Dover. It was a very somber flight

  4. I have been involved with military aviation now for over 40 years. I have never heard of this anywhere. I don't think that is correct. It sounds more like crew comradery to me.

  5. Dude! "Inboard" engines, NOT "inbound!" LOL Very informational video and thanks for depressing all of us with the absurd money we spend on "defence" and this comment is from a retired Military pilot! Best of luck to all of us!
