  1. Oh please as a black woman I find this condescending! One of the reason I subscribed to this channel was it did not seem to have an approach to history plagued by the usual PC shiboleths and just told interesting history.

  2. I'm just a dumb white boy from a small town in Arkansas, but even I can tell you it would take a lot longer than this video to tell us about all the American black heroes and heroins. But at least the entire race isn't being totally ignored or dismissed. I thank God I had a mom who in the late 70's used the "colored only" side of the laundry mat in the small town we lived in. Colmesneil, Texas. The "white side" was full, she said that washer doesn't know what color she is.

  3. Thank you very much for these enlightening videos. All people should be impressed & encouraged by the lives of these extraordinary folks & their determination to rise above their circumstances. A lesson to us all to judge a person by their actions, not their appearance.

  4. The less racism is obvious the less racism needs to be.
Wouldn't it be great if we could make more than just February Black History Month?
We could add the other 11 months so as to not show any apparent bias.

  6. History Class & Information the MAGA would Love to Claim As Their's….I've carried the minor stigma of 'no scar' from the vaccine and hence had many boosters, every time I updated my vaccine record….

  7. Lincoln's biggest mistake was thinking Johnson as VP would calm the Democrats. Booth made their lack of logic using Johnson as their recoiled response much easier. Even if there was an established SS back then, anytime trying to be nice to Democrats can have its flaws.

  8. Thank you Lance and TEAM THG! What a wonderful episode gathering many heroes into one program. I wish we could say, today, that no City Council, no state legislature or Governor; and no Presidential candidate or incumbent would act as the City Council of Pasadena, CA acted in 1941. But, alas, bigotry, inequalities, ignorance as well as well meaning but ineffective remedies (like so-called "woke value signaling") continue to flourish. Great episode to share.

  9. Thank you for an entertaining and informative video. On a similar topic check out these titles concerning prominent Jews in America. Pioneer jews: A new life in the far west by Harriet and Fred Rochlin and also, Jews on the frontier: an account of Jewish pioneers and settlers in early America by I. Harold Sharfman. There were many such people, including, a living, west coast Indian chief. You could glean many more topics for future videos

  10. Just finished the first part of this, about Onesimus. The opposition of Puritan leaders to vaccination suggests that American stupid goes back at least 250 years. Thank you for reminding us.
