  1. Why no country though? I imagine there must be lots of country music in Texas. Germany , especially my state of Bavaria , also has some nice „Volksmusik“ , which has been the foundation those classical composers built upon.

  2. Bach,Handel,Wagner, Richard Strauss,Brahms,Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Mozart (at that time Salzburg did not yet belong to Austria), Beethoven, Robert Schumann, Pachelbel etc etc . The list of German composers is long. Beatles ( Lennon / Mc Cartney) are the Beethovens of the 20th century and Prince is the Mozart of the 20th century 🙂

  3. I've always thought Beethoven was one of those composers that can hook you in early and take you for a great ride, but it feels like he doesn't know how the ride should end so he writes multiple endings until he finds the right one, but still leaves the other 'false endings' in. Recently I've reconsidered my opinion of his endings and think of them more like the 'after credits' scene(s) in modern movies; Like the credits are him giving a shout-out to certain sections/instruments and the extra scenes are the booming full-orchestra parts.
