rio tinto is just one of the major mining companies in WA as well ryan.
You said that's an iconic Australian landscape. Well a bit true. But if you look where most people actually live, it's nothing like that. We have trees, water, grass, beaches. RYAN, get your arse down here. It's only maybe $us2000 return and I'm sure all your followers will put you up for free accommodation and food
40% owned by the Chinese Government. Don't be fooled about where the profits go. Not much stays in Australia. Only general expenditure involved in running the mines.
My niece drive one of these massive trucks in the mines.
Sky news is rabid conservative nutters
They are computer techs
Beautiful part of the country is the Pilbara & the Kimberley in Western Australia, so much to see and do and you will spend very little money doing it.
🙂👍🦘
@2:30 they say some operators field 6,000 calls per day. That's more than 4 a minute and that is if the operator is working a 24 hour day. Somehow I doubt that.
When watching sky news. Take everything with a grain of salt as it is run by the rich.
It doesn't scream Australia it screens Western Australia. All the royalties stay in WA
I would say you are probably right. No huge technology in American mines. Most American companies think paying for technology is to expensive. Without stopping to think about how much money the technology would save them in the long run.
btw I still say, Miles. eg. Miles and miles away. I can see for miles and miles. I still associate better with feet and inches (mm and metres confuse me). Never say kilometres and kilometres away. Me for, a metre is about 3 ft.
Some usless info at 3 pm 15:00 AEST 24/01/2024 Australia Population hit 27 Million people living in Australia

Mining actually isn't a huge thing in Australia. It only represents 11% of all economic activity.
6,000 calls in a day? ROFL, bullshit. Even at 30 seconds per call, that's 50 hours.
Lived there for 35 yrs. The scale is hard to imagine from that video

You have to understand just how HOT that area is …..Google temperatures for The Pilbara!
The infrastructure for onsite workers, air conditioned accommodation, food, water, medical, flights in and out, astronomical.
