  1. This is such a valuable video for me and the timing is perfect. Cause I am currently in this exact same upgrade spot cause I already ordered my 4090 that I have been saving up for. But need more cpu to go along with it on a oled 4k 120 monitor. Been concerned with growing pains of AM5 and don’t want to risk something going pop and having to deal with all that. And I really like and want to keep my case. But it doesn’t have room for a 360 Aio when combined with the 4090 cause only got space in the front for one so no 13900k. And so this has really helped me decide to just get a 5800x3d and some little bit quicker ram then what I got to maybe help it just a bit more. And I get to not have to backup and reinstall everything on a new Windows 11 and new motherboard. So it all seems like a win win.

  2. Question is, will there be a new platform after AM5? There seems to be rumors about it after next gen. And do you really want the current best or just enough to play? I’m still on a 3700x and 5700xt and still coming in top 3 every game. Yeah I’m forced to lower settings to hold onto 120+ fps.

  3. i'm wondering if i should keep my 5800x or upgrade to 7800x3d with a new motherboard, it runs anything fine but could use a little head room πŸ™‚ maybe i'll wait for 2nd gen AM5 CPU's

  4. 3:25 You shouldn't say "RTFX" because then people are just going to think "RTX" which is Nvidia's thing you should just say "raytracing fidelity." As then it doesn't seem to be limited to just RTX cards.

  5. if you are already on AM4 5800x3D is an awesome value and it's gonna last long.

but yeah if you build a new system of course 7800x3d has more longevity now.
tho i would personnaly get used part and put a 5800x3d to put the rest on gpu as it's what offers the biggest difference.

  6. The video i didnt know i needed to reassure me that going with 5800x3d and a new 570 board was the right choice. The uplift wasnt worth the extra money for the AM5 platform. I was able to have a higher budget that allowed me to grab a 4090. HUB never misses!!

  7. awesome content, we want more cpu's listed and compared, as being sure you have mainly all other variables under control it provides valuable information that leads to better desitions

  8. I have no interest in the AM5 platform at the moment, but I might change my mind when Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 comes out. The 5800X3D and the 3090FE it's good enough for now.

  9. What do you think of the preposterous new system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077? With their recommended spec now being an AMD R7 7800x. Which I know currently only exists in 3D form… Does this mean that the 5000 series is a poor choice? Personally I think the specs are just silly and that the Ryzen 5600 and up will remain capable gaming chips for some years yet. Given that version 1.62 of Cyberpunk runs quite well at low settings on my old fx6300 with an RX570.

  10. Thumbs up for the r7 7700 comparison, preferably with the r7 5700x too as its much cheaper than all these chips kin the UK, where the AM4/AM5 motherboard price differences are also still large.
