bullshit! I read many forums about that issue and almost all players have shit inside they PC or laptops. Dirty , overclocked shit thats why.
Is there a game ready driver for new world? There's gotta be something like a combination of the 30 series cards sipping a lot of power on the higher end cards and now having the best qa on the initial batches, and the driver or something with this game allowing the card to go ham

it killed my 3090 strix back in beta, I will never play that game even if its the best game of all time. EVGA's were just the most common other brands 100% died too.
I have the game and 1st thing I did was cap FPS to 30.
I wont ever be buying this game with cards so expensive and hard to come by .
New World is adding micro transactions. They’ll get you hooked right now and then charge you more money for convenience features after they tweak the game AKA make it more grindy.

not like anyone is really playing NW atm — the server problems are pretty bad. I returned the game for a refund as a result. I'll wait until they can get their shit together before purchasing again.
I personally think this issue is being blown out of proportion. GPUs die all of the time. This is nothing new. I think we just have a big case of confirmation bias and now every GPU that happens to die out of the hundreds of thousands of people playing New World is suddenly the games fault. Even still I am not going to avoid playing a game because of an issue like that. If the GPU dies from any game, that is the manufacturers fault and that is what warranties are for. They need to design their cards better if a game can brick it.
I love how the game is supposedly burning up GPUs when it won’t take my 3080 past 50% utilization in towns and 70% in the wilderness despite having a 10900k that only sits around 20% usage.
Amazon forum is full with ppl with broken card or crash game. Im the one if them . My Pc is good above recommended what need the game and my pc freeze or lose signal to monitor and gpu turn off

i have a EVGA 3080 and I play new world. I used the nvidia control panel to set a fps cap to 120 to keep the card from getting too hot but I still worry about it.
when I get my gt 1030 in a few days imma use that windows code, for a brand new secondary system I just assembled.
Why would anyone risk playing that game on their cards?

Playing New World with Zotac 3080 Trinity OC. Touch wood, so far no issue but I'm using Gsync to capped my FPS.
This is a hardware issue. It's seems to only be happening with Nvidia new cards. Plenty of people play New World, and have zero problems, including me. I cap the game at 30fps, because I can't tell the difference of anything higher than that. It also allows me to do more things with my computer while playing.
Plenty of games will hit 2000+ fps on black screens, and the video cards don't die, or even get hot. This has to be a design flaw in Nvidia's hardware, that is frying these cards.
Camon you are spreading misinformation just to get some views, I have a 3080 my card is fine temps are fine. If some people don`t limit their Fps is their falt.

Gigabyte Cards got also bricked since Launch. Now there are 2 Companys to worry about
im seeing a pattern with gigabyte ( surprise surprsise) and evga primarily to be the ones getting bricked.
