  1. Asmon is 150% right. The problem is that the companies are catering to people that arent gamers, and those same people dont really care and enjoy the crap that they are given. As along as that is 30% or above of the player base we will continue to get crap.

  2. I disagree with you on everything. Who cares if someone bought rested experience. Its a game. Im not proud about playing a game. How shallow and void is your life if you measure of success is a game…

  3. I've played SWTOR for years. The ingame store ruined the game. When people can buy packs with real money and then sell them for ingame credits. It ruined the ingame economy and created a huge imbalance between players. All the good looking cosmetics and mounts are owned by the real world rich players. Most people cant afford to drop hundreds of dollars a month, just feel included. Many will be like me. They'll finish the story, complete the operations and then(slowly or quickly) fade away from the game. It was like watching the game slowly die from 1000 self-inflicted cuts.

  4. i really hope, the game brutally crashes into the ground and closes its servers in max. 3-6 months. they got more store items already, worth more than the game, and the game isnt even out….fml, when this succeeds, i will jump of a roof

  5. Why can't developers just make a fucking subscription based model with everything obtainable in game. I just don't understand. The word "battle pass" is a huge turn off and I won't be playing this game. Asmon hit the nail on the head, how can you sell quality of life items when the game isn't even out yet… just make those quality of life changes base game? Greed all over this.

  6. "Who wants this?"
    Answer: Jeff Bezos
He is a megalomaniac that thinks he can do anything, which is why Amazon branched out into gaming cancelled every game they tried and now try their hardest for an MMO (the objectively hardest game to develop properly). He told the entire New World design team to include anything that has maximized short term profit that other game studios have done recently, not regarding what kind of game they are from or how much it hurt consumer satisfaction ,retention or any long term metrics.
This is 0% a game, this is 100% a product.

  7. Wait wait wait.. so at launch all store items will be “purely cosmetic“ but one sentence later they are already thinking about the idea of putting fast travel or rested XP in there? This game will fail, and has the exact same failing design philosophy current Blizz has.

Now im not a betting man, but if were i probably feel most comfortable with AoC(Ashes of Creation) but that is a very ambitious idea/concept so that also has the change to be a faillure in terms of what is promised… However if it does provide all the things it will say. I think, And also hope that it will be the blizzard WoW killer we have all been waiting for, In the best case, this game will blow us all away and we will have a amazing game, in the worst part it will make blizzard re think their strategy.

But Perfect world… it aint it, i can just feel its gonna suck, and be dead in less then a month.

  8. I was actually really intrested in a new MMO game since Ive never played one, and since WOW is hard to get in I felt like New World would be a perfect game to play as a new player in the MMo genre. But I have massive second thougts based on their behaviour.

See you all in AOC soon!

  9. 7:36 That's the main reason a "WoW killer" will never exist. IF there ever is a game that pulls many players away from WoW, THEN Blizzard HAS TO get their shit together and actually make the game good ,which will keep it from dying. Right now they dont have healthy competition so they are slacking the fuck off, because their numbers can afford it.

  10. it will be pay to win… boosts and cosmetics, cosmetics are what makes a RPG good, yeah cosmetics are P2W in a RPG.
If you don't have time to play a MMO there is a simple solution, play something else

  11. With all the excuses that New World is throwing out, they dont have to ruin the game to "stick up for the little guy". Just have servers that don't have access to the shop. Give people a paid option to switch servers. Then you can have the "little guys" try and fail on a proper server or join the "kiddy pool" server from the start and let people with lots of time or people with little time ,but that are still up for the grind not have their effort undermined by people that have money.

  12. the new business model is exploit the 5% as free marketing. they use the 5% to make guides and video and also stream their game. this 5 % "inspire" the 95% to keep playing and grinding and paying the sub/boost fee's as to one day get the gear and power that the 5% do. Hence they cater to the 5% because thats all they need to hook the 95%.

  13. New world contradicts themselves literally in the same sentence, boosts won't give a competitive advantage?? Boosts literally give an advantage to people over the ones who don't buy it. You level up faster which gears your character and progresses it faster lol. If they have any sort of exp boosts on release the game is done for they have to at least wait 6 months imo.

  14. man all this time that games doing that shitty market cash stuff they all claim "cosmetics" but the only fucking game i've seen doing cosmetic only market is warframe, ok that you can buy boosters there but still it isn't that bad, BECAUSE THE INGAME CASH CAN BE TRADED BETWEEN PLAYERS
    fuck these greedy devs

  15. Instead of acting all excited, they are just doing what they all do, nothing had changed for better or worse. They want it because they need money as it is nothing but a business to them in the end and actually that is correct. It's a business to them a game to us, like sportsmen, to them it isn't a game, it's a way they make a living. But all that was said here is just all the same stuff we see over and over. Name me a MMO that has no monetization means at this AA-AAA level?
