As a causal (220 hrs lv57) the new content looks cool will keep us in the game a bit longer. I never bother with grinding end game on any game.
I can see both sides of the coin in terms of opinions on this update. To be able to do some of the end game activities needed to increase your GS, it definitely means joining a company ASAP to have folks to grind with. Which, in itself, is kinda ironic. Some of these end game activities can’t be done because our GS isn’t high enough but to get our GS high enough we have to do them? Lol RIP solo gameplay I guess
random grinding in MMOs is what is making me not give a shit anymore. I stopped running M+ in wow due to this very reason. If I cannot target a specific piece by any means, then I choose not to play. I dont gamble my money at casinos, I am not gambling my time away for a "chance" . Sorry this isnt a fix.. its a fuking CD timegated BS. What is this WOW? sorry guys. I love this game at its core but this is just not what I was hoping for.
I'm sorry but you really sound like a fanboy atm. This new "expertise" system is literally a worse and longer wm system. This is going to make even more people quit the game. This will also hit the market in the balls because getting 600gs drops will ONLY work for people that actually have 600GS WM. This is making the worst gearing system ever in an mmorpg even worse.

If I understood what you shared, it sounds as though some weapon experience will require doing content like expeditions and if you either don't do it, or can't find a group to do it, you're out of luck…

Yeahhh let’s make it harder and more time gated to an already hard system to achieve. Let’s make the grind longer oh yeah!… not. There’s some good ideas here but it’s trash cus the game shouldn’t be about the grind. Should be about the gameplay. The pvp the crafting, not the whole make this into a second job thing. Already got almost 400 hrs in n Im really on the fence as I wait for my other amigos to catch up.. if they even can now without taking time off work.

Love that I grinded my jewelcrafting to almost 200 so that I can wear my 500 gs jewelry for a hundred+ days after this update.
As a semi-casual jewelcrafting healer, every update this game has seen is another step downward for me. Fuck this game. Good luck finding a healer to fill out that 5th spot for Lazarus you spent a week grinding the key for or whatever other new dungeon they want you to work a second job to access.

It's been an interesting ride Bois.. M out. Thier highest priority right now should have been more transfer options or server merges. I waited long enough and no matter how much they sugar coat the shit end game content stinks and I am tired to sitting in a ghost town of server.

600g for a gypsum cast and u only can do 7 cast per day. Is a total of 4200g/ day! They are crazy, we cant get that much on a low pop server. I also doubt that much is doable on a high pop server

Imo this is a result of people upset with the current watermark system which I agree is bad but with the changes inbound is on paper is worse.. Maybe it won't be bad once I play it but currently iam definitely not happy with it currently..the downscale of gear imo is bad look at what they mentioned before buying high gs gear from the auction house would give you a edge while out increasing your watermark, I guess they don't mind going back on what they said before, don't forget about those 580 weapon quests what happens to those? Do they just get dropped to 500 for new 60s? Makes them worthless at that point.

This change absolutely disregards any efforts people have gone to with crafting, stacking trophies, gear etc just to craft themselves some top tier stuff. Now it's worthless until you grind your watermark/expertise up. Absolute garbage. Who ever is in charge doesn't play the game
I'm excited for the upcoming updates too! I feel bad for the players who rely on crafted gears but it is also not fair that people can just buy and wear 600GS equipment off the TP.
Why are people shilling for this? The rate has is 10x slower and the grind is already tedious.
Looks like one more reason to not rush to the level cap- things change.
Been playing with VG pretty heavily and been able to complete quests that have level requirements 8-9 levels above my current level using mostly blade and recently just decided to add tether to the mix just because and things seem to drop pretty quick and I usually take less damage. Tether plus the other damage mitigation makes me think it may be useful for a tank build. If this were The Secret World (classic) VG brings at least three of the things tanks were expected to bring- damage reduction, damage over time, and a debuff that brings increased damage to target(might be sleepy and fuzzy on this but winter is time to hibernate).
One more thing to add is that boar tusks no longer seem to drop and I can no longer use the ones I have in armor crafting- they won't show up as an option for use in choosing perks.
Well…ummm. Nope sorry its just another grind and its a bit of a slap in the face for those already crafting lvl 600. All that time and effort is about to be downgraded. Not to mention the people who have bought gs 600 items recently. Simply saying " its gonna be super fun" doesnt make it so.
The new watermark system would have been a great idea if it was there from the start of the game. The fact it's being added after people have purchased gear etc months into the game changes my opinion.
So many are trashing AGS with this changes but I only see good changes. Idk if people are trolls or lazy but the end game will be even more rewarding and crafting.more valuable.
Hey Lemoni great vid. So positive, it really is refreshing. I try not to read too many comments because there are so many negative ones. People haven't even tried the changes and they are flaming them, just crazy in my opinion. Like you said, Amazon is actually listening, how many current game companies are doing that! I would wager a big zero. But since they are listening, then if things need tweaking again, then I'm sure they'll do it. I, like you, am looking forward to all this new stuff!
It is the same system with a few extra options for boosting your high water mark. Since AGS does not disclose the numbers, the datamine numbers are showing the grind is much slower because the down tuned where you can get higher gear from. Even the crafting option is going to be time gated and cost lots of gold.
