One thing Black folk gone do is name you one thing and call you something else to the point nobody remember your legal name 😆
She comes from that era when a man’s word was the final word. That’s why she couldn’t respond to her mother, auntie, daughter, granddaughter, etc. Her brother swoops in and she responded to his energy. Her husband probably had final say. It’s that era.

Every aspect of the behavior of this elder regarding hoarding is typical. I took over the project When my mother moved, i did what was necessary. This situation is crazy. And the daughter should have took over, long ago
He controlled her in life and still has control over her from the grave. Neil should have been the first one they called for help.
That house is to big for all that stuff . I not going to complain about the outside of the house . But the inside of the house LIKE BRUHHH😑😑😑😑

I really want to see the house when she gets it all fully cleaned out. Her family is just so sweet and loving you could tell she has all the support possible to get it finished
This longer form episode really allowed us to see some of the therapy in action. Sometimes the psychologists are unintentionally painted as really ineffective/mostly absent in the ones where each story only gets about 20 minutes of screen time. I liked this deeper look.
I have to give some props to Althia, although she is a hoarder at least she didn’t let her kitchen get really disgusting like some of the others. Good for you!
