I never make comments to often, this is the worst war movie ever made, not even close to how that actual battle was.
Trouble is, tyranny and oppression is still with us in some part of the world.
My grandfather told me all about WW2 the stories he told would make you sick to your stomach ! What the Germans did to people was horrific ! And republicans want to be just like them !! How sick is that !!
Terrible movie, full of mistakes a child would not make.

What can be obtained from watching these films is that the German soldiers were very well equipped and the most useful of the allied soldiers. American, British and Russian soldiers knew nothing about war

Not too bad a film if you fast-forward the slow boring bits.
Private is a corporal
The slowest and most maudlin war film I have ever watched. I guess the more distance between the events and the movie about those events the less realism one can expect. These guys spend more time sitting around and complaining than anything else. Sorry, but for me this film is a dud and does little to portray the horrors of the Hurtgen Forest campaign. I'll put it down to a presumably very small budget.
