This is the start of Chapter 1 of The Long Dark story mode – Wintermute. We find ourselves crashed in the Canadian wilderness, and need to help a mysterious stranger named Greymother for information on our missing friend.
This series will explore the currently released first 4 chapters of the Wintermute story, done in story mode to reduce the difficulty and allow story progress. The goal is to finish the story before the new enhancements to survival mode, Tales From the Far North, release next month.
