That Osgiliath tower… Great frame for a future Golden Demon winner… Even a 40k titan or flyers, where the scale plays to your advantage…
I’m in love with how modular this all is, whereas many of the recent 40k releases have been hardly modular at all 💀
I love how you can take the roof off to play inside. They should definitely scale something like this up, I have a ton of Warhammer ruins not much in terms of complete standing buildings… just some normal non destroyed buildings would be awesome l.
Scale is the only issue as you mentioned.
You should definitly play a game of LOTR. It's really good ruleswise.

I think you did touch on one of the reasons for the scale and that's licencing , I know knight miniatures had the licence for 32mm Lord of the ring miniatures at one time. GW did start to scale up miniatures to 28mm from 25mm, but have kept the old miniatures in production. you do see mixed miniature proportions within armies. Also the miniatures are old. Some of the miniatures shown in the still are more than 20 year old monopose, they're still usable, (thank you Perry brothers, the sculptors concerned), but could do with a refresh . The game is sound and quite good fun, with cinematic moments and tense turns of fate. Its my fav GW game
It does look good, and Osgiliath has a really nice look, but at this point, there has been so much support from the 3d printing community surrounding MESBG that it might be too late to truly have an impact.
My lord. Look up Glorfindel on forgeworld if you don't think that looks stunning that's madness.
Also not everything as to be blown up to GWs typical clown proportions. Got so many systems that do that over the top poses for basic soldiers and details
that it makes painting lord of the rings pleasant instead of a chore.
But I am bias as I like there earlier warhammer 6th edition posable sets compared to modern GWs basic monopose models they release quite often.
