All Fire Emblem Games Ranked Worst to Best

At least the western ones I’ve played as someone who identifies as a westerner. Let’s rank some Fire Emblem games and fan some Fire Emblem flames.

  1. Fire Emblem: Awakening was the best of times. Played it on a 3ds xl all the way through and I fking loved it! So fun to go through it all with the story, the items, building your own playable character how you wanted em, learning and using the abilities and passives, and I felt like the story was a perfect mix of serious and silly. It never went full anime stupid other then in the character interactions which was fine. I absolutely loved min/maxing my crew. Spending hours just planning how to build em all. Loved the support system as it was made so strong and made it really matter, both in story and in combat which was really fun. It was not as memorable as Blazing blade, but a better game no doubt. My absolute fav Fire Emblem played to date.

The only negative I have is the tiny feet on the characters… looked so fking dumb, but the gameplay and story carried the stupid art style.

  2. Even though the gameplay has improved, I still really prefer the aesthetics of the older games. The pixel art and the more realistic artstyle with a bit of anime splashed in looks really good. Not saying the anime artstyle is bad, but it isnt really unique.

  3. I hate the direction the series is going by allowing you to grind to level up your characters. Makes the games way too easy. Three houses doesn't even feel like a strategy game to me.

    Rankings
1/2. Path of radiance/radiant dawn (can't remember them enough to know which one i like more)
    3. Blazing sword
    4. Awakening
    5. Three houses
    6. Sacred swords
    7. The other ds ones
    Haven't tried engage yet

  4. of the ones ive played this is how i would rank them

S+ awakening only srpg that can rival disgaea 3 and final fantasy tactics/wotl all three have the same thing in common near infinite amounts of replayability

S echoes couldve been S+ tier for me if it wasnt for the limited amount of forks and dungeon exploration (this is more an issue with the 3ds and how horrible its analog stick is than anything else) that kills replayability love everything else about echoes one of the biggest pluses for me is that its fully voiced acted and has some of my favorite voice actors/actresses in the business

A engage warriors both where great like both warriors and engage

B three hopes great game thats brought down by having nothing but the crappy three houses characters

C fates massively downgraded awakening was so excited for fates but was left massive disappointed

D shadow dragon only reason its not F tier is because i love tiki and she saves it

F whatever the one that released on the wii was dont remember its name it was my introduction to the series and all i
remember about it was that i was back at gamestop returning it within the day

Gacha tier heroes i love gachas but only damn is heroes a terrible gacha and fire emblem

F- three houses…. fuck the monastery is about the nicest thing i can say about three houses by far the worst game in the series ive finished only reason it beats out whatever the wii one was and heroes is because i stupidly bought it digitally and couldnt return it so i forced myself to playthrough the whole damn thing and heroes was free to play so it didnt cost me anything

  5. The thing about Normal and Hard mode in Radiant Dawn is that there was a translation error for the international release. So easy mode is actually normal mode, normal mode is actually hard mode, and hard mode is actually lunatic/maniac mode.

  6. Three Houses has a terrible NG+, the fact you don't get refunded professor points through your accumulated playthroughs, but the first half of the game regardless of route is practically identical and just an absolute slog to get through. Not to mention that there's no endgame of any kind, once you complete the game, that's it, progress wiped and start a new run.

  7. For me it would be quiet difficult, to determine my favorite Fire Emblem. I know I hate Echoes and that I find Shadow Dragon not half bad.
I loved the evolution mechanics from Sacred Stones, the Units, the monsters, the map and everything like that, to me it's just a shame that with every newer Fire Emblem they've made improvements, while taking away stuff that I loved. Path of Radiance for example removed the items like "Knights Crest" and every unit had just one higher rank unit it could promote into, nothing to chose from except if the 2nd weapon for Paladins, they also removed light and darkness magic from the weapons triangle. On the other hand I loved the Laguz and stuff.
Awakening has the best support mechanic, unfortunately now there's no magic triangle anymore at all.
I've never played through Three Houses, though I like the overall game, it has lost so many things I love about Fire Emblem. I like this game a lot, but to me, the best Fire Emblem would be created, if Nintendo put the best features of Awakening and Sacred Stones in a blender and hit frappée :3c

  8. Also I think every Fire Emblem player (especially if he has also played the old ones) shares our paranoia, we all had a unit killed by either three 20% hits in a row or a 1% crit.^^

  9. If this is how this guy talks about Echoes, then I don't want to hear anything good about Genealogy when its remake comes out with the same pursuit skill, enemy horde, no trade, poor excuse of game mechanics for gameplay.

Seriously, THAT game is outdated. At least weapon durability and multiple pathways, not to mention open wandering on the map were reintroduced. I can't think of a single gameplay aspect from Genealogy that was ever carried over to another Fire Emblem besides the Child system, and even that's different compared to Awakening and Fates.

  10. My life’s purpose is to defend Fates to the end. I LOVE Fates. Birthright was the game that sucked me in, and made me a fan of FE. I will never understand the hate it gets. I can’t get behind 3 Houses. Too easy, and too tedious/boring with the church gameplay. No, I’m not going to catch fish for hours to pump up my professor grade.

  11. I think if you're going to make a remaking video and in the title say ALL fire emblem games ranked than I think you should've actually played all the game before making this video
