One of my favorite moments in the lull between the end of 2.55 and the start of Heavensward was going back to Ul'dah and talking to my old guildmasters. Especially Redolent Rose, the weaver. They basically all told me that, whatever the word on the street was, they were on my side and I was safe there. There's also a Crystal Brave in Mor Dhona you can talk to who tries to act threatening and tells you that you shouldn't be there, but basically chickens out of fighting you because they know what'd happen.
