ALL ABOUT I-824 + GUIDE | Transfer Approved Petition to NVC

This video discusses the Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition. This form can be quite confusing because it is used for many purposes. Most likely you have made a mistake on the form I-130 and accidentally selected Adjustment of Status instead of Consular Process for the beneficiary. This form helps you transfer an approved I-130 (or another) petition from USCIS to the NVC.

The second portion of this video is a step-by-step guide on how to complete this form. Though this guide is for option 1d of the form, I do discuss the other options, such as follow-to-join process and applying for a duplicate approval/I-797 notice of action.

  1. In the instructions sheet it says to provide a copy of form I-130. I believe it's on page 5 and 7 of the instructions sheet. Do I need to send a copy of form I-130? I misplaced the approval. What should I select? 1A? But I'm trying to get this form sent to NVC in my home country of Bangladesh.

  3. hi, my case at nvc . i submitted i864(petitioner) and i864a (household member my husband) but our income doesn't meet minimum requirements. so i added a joint sponsor and joint sponsor's household member .but nvc rejected joint sponsor ,their income even not sufficient. they ask joint sponsor assets proof. if i add second joint sponsor do i still have to submit 1st joint sponsor's assets proof?? please reply my comments I'll be very thankful
