Personally I kinda hoped for a better correlation between there titles and there powers.
Death; granted his powers could easily cause and prevent death, but when I hear hero magic it doesn't sound like something death would have. My vision of death is more of an assassin using invisibility or shape shifting, basically lancalote.
War; lancalote Does a good job embodying the lesser thought of shadow wars, but I would have given him sun light allowing day lancalote to represent the loud and over the top wars we think of while night lancalote would stay as is representing shadow wars.
Pestilence; biggest deviation as far as I can tell, I would expect a healer main capable of also using poisons and plagues to fight, not the twin sword using DPS half angle and half demon.
Famine; I would have expected someone who weakens there opponent or at least a gluten, not the proud spoiled brat.
Gawain is a baddie, has both Pride and Beauty

After watching Seven Deadly Sins again I notice when Merlin goes in for the kiss and she pulls away it seems she is taking energy from Escanor with her hand. My theory to Arthur's niece having Sunshine 🌞
This series has me very excited, having loved seven deadly sins. This new series is like a breath of fresh air, since sds seems to have already a past and we are following that story, the characters already powerful and just becoming more powerful through out the story. In contrast, knights of the apocalypse is a new journey, they don't have any past wars or battles, they are powerful but they don't know much about everything yet because they are still young. I am very excited to see this 4 knights become very strong and can't wait for their journey. Though I am still curious because it is said that King and Diane do have a child and I'm surprised it aint Gawain, could it possibly be their child might be a possible antagonist in the future.
Might I add, Escanor the last one to be introduced is shown to be the most powerful of the 7. Gawain is that too, the fact she can break a perfect cube and almost defeat Galland without any prior knowledge about demons and any combat skills

And percy… aren't does dead spirits?? They appeared after his grandpa died! He couldn't use magic before coming down from gods finger, so until he got into "contact" with death he had no power! Would be a reason to raise/hide him literally between heaven and earth.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Merlin somehow created gawain in escanors honor. Using magic of course to make her a sunshine vessel. I don’t think Merlin ever made a baby physically with escanor before he died. I think mael thought he was unworthy of the sunshine power so it must’ve been dormant until gawain showed up and it transferred into her (probably with merlins help)
I doubt escanor would lose in a 1 v all against the holy nights, he could kill them all with his immense aura
