  2. After you get past 24-36 hours you don't get hungry at all. I do 48-72 hour fasts often, and it's insane th3 feeling you have after 3 days. It's like magic. Get a fasting app and try. Once you decide you won't eat because you choose not to eat, that ghrelin hit is half has ruthless.

  3. , Alex is as humble and articulate as he is a truly epic and accomplished climber. That said, he is a good example of an intelligent person who have just absorbed the prevailing metaphysics of materialism in our culture though the topic has never been settled. I so ache for people like Alex to be more exposed to the growing modern dialogue of (re)exploring ontology with a good balance of philosophy, science and spirituality. It would open up a whole new way to relate to reality.

  4. Interesting interview. Though, it made me wonder to what degree does a high level of whatever could be defined as unique success require a relatively high degree of narcissism, masochism, and OCD, which isn't meant to suggest he envelops completely these traits, just that in order to accomplish the things he accomplished, these traits needed to take a significant level of dominance.
