Life is better with music.
Houses is great but all these people in thier comments saying Pronounced is anything but top 10 are crazy Skynyrd seem to get a bad rap cause thier not prog, or they are just boogie but that 1st album is awesome and set a standard in ROCK, not just southern rock but rock, tell me when is the last time you didn't hear a track off this album in a REAL bar, it's lived a lifetime, and yes some songs have been played to death, and I don't even want to hear them again, but this album ROCKS.
Houses of the Holy is an absolute classic, and I'll most certainly be listening to it again real soon. Now, my Day 20 pick…

My pick for day 20 is: Carlos Santana & John McLaughlin โ Love Devotion Surrender , As I get older I like this one even more. Amazing guitar work by both greats of the instrument.
My pick for today would be Raw Power by the Stooges.
Ok, the Day 19 in the description threw me off, this is Day 20. Great pick, Led Zeppelin was my pick a few days ago. My pick today is: The Adventures of Panama Red – New Riders of the Purple Sage. I got into this band back in the 70s and have several of their albums. I always thought the title was supposed to be about Marijuana, since Panama Red was available on the streets in those days.

My favorite Zep album by far actually. And the only one I still revisit quite often these days, as I am seriously tired of most of their stuff at this point. But stuff like No quarter, Rain song (which is my favorite song by them), Dancing days or Song remains the same are always fresh to my ears.

Awesome album. I am also not a big fan of D'yer Mak'er or The Crunge but I have made peace with them. I don't get up to lift the needle on those tracks, I just l let them play.
I've got Houses coming up, (of course), later in the month, but today I'm picking a singer/songwriter genre album of some note. It's "There Goes Rhymin' Simon" by Paul Simon. A must have for any fan of the genre. Paul starting to flex his muscles without his partner Art Garfunkel, and scoring large on the radio.

My pick for today is Solar Fire bye Manfred Mann Earth Band. The second of two albums released in 73 (the first, Messin', is really good as well), the transformation of Father of Night, Father of Day from a very short piano based Dylan song to the epic that it is on this album. Great arrangements and great guitar.
Great choice high on my list as well. My choice today is Genesis "Selling England By The Pound" an utter Prog classic.
12 ZZ Top: Tres Hombres
I have always held HOTH in a special place. It was released the year I was born.and it was the first album I bought on cassette after having a used copy of Zep 2 on vinyl. It was very impressionable on m being a 14 year old. The different guitar sounds, variety of songs and the atmosphere of the album is great
I LOVE "The Crunge"!!
Have since early childhood in the 70s. My little sister Marcy loved it back then too. — She was only 3 years old but it was a real fine place to start (ocean pun, sorry)
True story though.. although she was more like 5. Obviously, she loved the ending and would get excited within that last minute. She'd say, "Where's the bridge!!"
Anyway, I do love that song in general, but hey, I also love James Brown (the tune's inspiration) and analog funk in general, so I was much more naturally akin at the jump (I feel strongly about "Royal Orleans" from Presence for this same reason) Tight soul riffs, groovy bass lines and funky drumming will travel for this boy.
So, the songs from this album that do it for me the most are:

And man, I sure do feel the same about "D'yer Mak'er"… can't stand it!

P.s. the raging, triumphant opening riff of "Dancing Days" still sounds like a herd of elephants stampeding over a mountain to me.

Larks' Tongues and Aspic
Picking Pronounced from Lynyrd Skynyrd. A great mix of Blues, Country, and some Prog(with Freebird, complete with Mellotron). Houses Of The Holy is my favorite Zep album. Love that John Paul Jones plays keyboards on a lot of it. I believe that some recording was also done at Mick Jagger's house called Stargrooves.
