A passenger plane has been forced to make an emergency landing in the United States after a window blew out mid-flight.
The Alaska Airlines plane turned back minutes into its flight โ with all 177 passengers and crew onboard returned to safety.
The flight climbed to nearly 5000 metres in the air before returning to Portland International Airport.
The airline has temporarily grounded all 65 of its Boeing 737 Max 9 aircraft to conduct inspections.
The Federal Aviation Administration said it will investigate the incident.

It was the emergency exit door, definitely not a window. Don't believe the press release.
Window, hell that was a freaking door!
Maintenance of these aircraft is slipping day by day.
Boeing are sure maxing out on their incompetence with the 800 and 900 max aircraft!
Recall the "loose bolt" in the rudder system the other week!!
This didnโt add more to the anxiety I already have over flying at all.
Greenhaired maintenance…
Looks like it was more a door.
Of course, still a nuisance, but not quite the pane I thought it would be.
Thanked God that every passenger was safe. The Boing is a reliable company I thought.
The engine room was ok and opearting thats what matter๐
When they say all must have seatbelts on during takeoff and during altitude adjustments, you better strap in and hold on. ๐
(Daniel 9:27 was fulfilled on August 13 2023 also when the woman began travailing in birth to fulfill the time of the gentiles for the mystery of Revelation 12 to be completed, Daniel 12:1 next, three riders released within 2020 and 2023. These words are true and worthy, he who has ears to hear let him hear, and blessed is he who understands.)
โAnd as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?โ
Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, verse 3.
โAnd he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.โ
Gospel of Luke, chapter 21, verse 8 to 11.
โAll these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.โ
Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24, verse 8 to 10.
โAnd there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.โ
Gospel of Luke, chapter 21, verse 25 to 28.
โFor God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.โ
Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16 to 18.
โFor I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.โ

Second Peter, chapter 3, verse 8.
โknowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.โ

First Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 3.
โFor the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.โ
First Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse 16 to 17.
โin a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.โ

Gospel of Luke, chapter 17, verse 34 to 36.

It's a door, not a window.
Thank God for keeping his protective hand over all the people.
The window looks strangely like a door. But accuracy isn't important here.
not a window
Next time Iโll take an aisle seat !
Does Alaska Airlines condemn Hamas?
It was obvious from the first pic it was a covered over door cut out. Some airlines love to cram more seats in. It has happened before. Why did it take media outlets so long to figure it out?
Windows out ..bit shit house might think twice about flying that airline.
Maybe they are concentrating too much on diversity, equity and inclusion in their hiring.
The question I wanna know is…who farted loud enough to blow a door out?
That's good, the 737 max better be grounded till arrangements are done for the recertification!
Please banned the Boeing MAX, as this airplane model is not safe due to many crashes involved with this plane! Please look after the safety of all passengers!
Masha ALLAH tabarakallah ๐๐ ฐ๏ธ๐๐๐โคโค
Stay safe
They donโt make them like they used to.
Boeing quietly went DEI in stead of meritocracy. They are following the path of Disney, A-B, etc. In the air.
This is going to be one interesting case-study for investigators. One might have thought that a decommissioned-door would be safer than one in routine use. The blessing here is the failure happening well below cruising altitude – and no-one being underneath it.
As usual, better coverage from Australia than from U.S. news outlets.
WOW
OMG
DEI at Boeing is yielding dividends already โค
That is so scary. Glad everyone is safe!!
Good thing America has Peter booty but checks ๐๐คฃ
Airbus holds together after a collision while onfire, boeing falls apart from.. flying ๐
A window with the physical profile of a door. Happily, it all worked out well.
Not just a window a side panel including the window
Of course it s a 737 Max
Well done those pilots and glad all were safe!
Diversity hire engineers at work.
I made it clear several years ago that Boeing and their cost cutting will definitely catch up with them. This is just the beginning.
Oh hell no i would have freaked out ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
It's an old story that everyone knows: Boeing sacrificed doing the best to satisfying diversity goals and their product suffered.
You can strive for quality or you can strive for diversity, but you can't strive for both.
What if this happened to a trans atlantic or pacific flight when it is over the ocean at 40,000 ft ??????????
Boeing at Renton final assembly lines..incompetent operated mรขnagements, rushing manufacturing operations, failed quality system and cultures altogether have created a mess from shortcut and greed $$$.. I am not surprise..
File a lawsuit against this company and airline. They compromised their safety. This is not acceptable.
Why you should always keep your seatbelt fastened.
Still safer than driving.
