  1. "In one world there was a writer who wrote a story about a cop, in another the cop was real"

So the world of Control and Alan Wake 2 is not Alan's original world from Alan Wake 1, Alan emerged instead in another reality similar to his own.

  2. Speaking of Hartman when infected by both The Dark Presence & The Hiss, notice how all of the Bosses, Alan Scratch and Casey Scratch are surrounded by the same Red Light, and attack you with similar live action Jumpscares that The Hiss was throwing at Jesse trying to take her over?

I think what separates the Old Scratch from the New Scratch, is that old Scratch was just The Dark Presence, and New Scratch is both The Dark Presence and The Hiss.

  3. life) – but a bit of change and not “looping”’creates the light they seek and to break the chain. You see this with Alan, Casey, saga , etc. it seems like the writers wanted to make this into a game about searching for the intuition to be present and not continue over thinking in a loop as an analogy to the real life we can find ourselves in. The darkness seems to be an analogy for the darkness we can pay attention to or simply shine a light on to dissipate. You hear Alan say multiple times “ the dark place works in loops and rituals” – these rituals being the ocd habits of repeating the same actions hoping for a different result. As we do as humans at times. Also, toward the end of the game saga is stuck in her own mind – the game had gradually led her to lose faith in her own belief more and more and doubt her story (if her kid was dead) – such as an analogy to life and faith and self doubt – just some thoughts – I thought it was brilliant if that’s what they intended – Atleast I’m happy to have gained that from this art work!

  4. It's not that Alan isn't a great writer (although being trapped by a presence that is tormenting you and wiping your memory for 13 years can do that to you.) It is more that Saga is related to Door and the Door family has the power to create doors to other dimensions. That's how she was able to get out so quickly
