  2. Yes, I understand it's frustrating. However, consider yourself blessed because you could have no one. My parents live very far away, and my ex-in-laws are on the other side of the world. I never get help and wished they would fight over taking my kids and doing things with us.

  3. Wow! You got two KAREN on your hands! So selfish 😢 they are narcissistic 😮😢 they should not be aloud to have her at all! It's not healthy for your child!

  4. To be fair, your MIL probably thought her child rearing days were over once her own children were of age and out of the house. And before you say, well in her day the grandparents did more, that was a different time and people had a completely different mindset. To be saddled looking after a child at a time when she thought she would have more freedom will have dramatically impacted her life, severely limit what she can do with her own free time and create some resentment. It’s all well and good saying you’ve drawn up a schedule as if that’s a solution to her losing her autonomy. This will sound a bit harsh but if you can’t look after your own children you need to look at your lives and not hers for a solution. I realise you only gave it as an example but the 15 minutes you ran to the store – why on earth would it take two of you to buy eggs. It sounds as if you’re causing friction either deliberately or because you don’t actually take other’s feelings into account.

  5. Yeah, nobody has time to be doing that. They’re competing for the child for whatever reason and it’s ridiculous. Why don’t they both spend time with the child together sometimes and stop this foolishness?

  6. I would use the opportunity to teach your kid to be very mature in a grocery store, I'm sure you can find videos on YouTube or help online with tips on how to.. Seeing what these Sephora kids are like, ruining displays, having a kid who is polite in public is huge win
