RESPECT FOR THE REAL LIFE SUPER HEROES, GOD BLESS THE KID, I HOPE HE IS RECOVERING WELLπ£π£π£π£π£π£π£ππππππππππ
People on cruise ships don't deserve better.
Nice βupliftingβ story to start my day
Nothing can stop the US Air Force
Usually it's the Coast Guard that does these rescues. The one based in Eastern NC does most of them and the kid is at a hospital in NC.Glad the boy is recovering and doing well but what he had was mostly found in old men that have eaten terribly for years.
Remember that, next time you criticize the government.
Holy hell, this is amazing. He definitely would have died if he was stuck on that ship. Good people do exist and the power of these stories is world view shifting
USA,USA,USA God is great.
I guess the US taxpayers are picking up this bill for this one.
more like medial emergenSEA π₯
glad he is ok but they will have high bills i was life flighted and had to pay 6000 dollars for fuel times that by 3 ouch my insurance did not cover it just the medical i received
It's a shame they still haven't managed to rescue the thousands of Palestinian Americans trapped in Gaza after airlifting the Israeli Americans out
You could see the air force response from the NC coast. There was talk of a rescue, but no follow up locally. So glad the young man is doing well.
400 miles from North Carolina is not that far from the U.S.A. Imagine if it had been an international cruise. That kid would be dead. The lesson here is don't go on cruises ever.
Bravo Zulu for an outstanding effort by the fliers and PJs of the 920th Rescue Wing!
My Uncle, a 38 year Marine veteran, always said two people never bought drinks in a bar if he was there: Navy Combat Corpsmen and Air Force Pararescuemen. Tge Corpsman because nobody messes with a Marine's "Doc", and because both saved his bacon more than once.
he needs to be charge the full ammount for the rescue. Who goes on board knowingly that sick? Stupid parents.
920th the best of the best. Go Air Force Reserve, Cocoa Beach.
That IS why there's a heli platform on the bow of pretty much all cruise ships.
Blackhawk is a bit big for it, though.
Kudos on the cruise line for reaching out to the coast guard & air force immediately.
wait till you get the bill
Hate to see that bill when it comes.
Definitely awesome, thankful for this Air Force crew and glad the kid is doing well but I'm pretty sure the US Coast Guard does things like this all the time. Guess it was "Daring" since it was the USAF?
HooYah, PJ's rule. Best job in the world is being a PJ <3
I hope travel insurance will pay for the flight from the ship to land π
Exactly the type of mother you would expect to have her "super-sick" son airlifted
This is how you keep skills current, how exciting it must have been for all the crews involved, maybe the young patient becomes a pilot or para rescue paramedic…A great day.
