Alternatives to Meta exist: Elon Musk, in response to a crowd question at an interview, committed to regularly releasing a new open source model, as long as it's not xAI's flagship model, and as long as it's better than the current best open source model. MistralAI has also repeatedly said that they want to remain the makers of the most relevant open source model (although not necessarily the biggest or the most performant, just the best balance for the most usecases).
20:05 Looks like a critical safety disengagement and some regression. V12.3.6 would never get that close to pedestrians and if it did it would lock up the breaks. It almost looked like it turned the wheel in the direction of the pedestrians 💀
