  1. I learned a few things from the post.

I adopted a little dog from a shelter and he came with baggage. He wasn't cared for and mistreated. I knew he was going to be a project.

He's a barker and is reactive. Good news he's not a biter.

I'm going to apply the training methods in this post. I'm thinking they will be a big help.

  2. Wait wait wait. This woman got a PILLOW made with a pic of her CHIHUAHUA in a HOODED ROBE on it?! That's freaking GREAT.
Edit : AND A MUG?! Can't really blame her, though. It's a really adorable pic.

  3. "when he's not really a dangerous dog" bro just because he's small doesn't mean he's not dangerous. if he's biting and drawing blood, he's dangerous and needs to be respected as such! not necessarily reported, but aggressive dogs have special needs that need to be met and taken seriously. i'm glad they got him professional training, so many owners of small dogs neglect the value and necessity of training.

  4. I love my chihuahua, but it cracks me up whenever someone reminds me that they're supposed to be smart. my boy has gotten lost inside of a blanket on three separate occasions and takes so, so long to learn something new. My elkhound mix's puzzle toys may as well be fort knox to him. I love him to bits and pieces, but he's not the brightest bulb

  5. Victoria's laughter at the stroller just killed me. I like how she used the stroller as a place for him to feel safe. But I don't get putting dogs in strollers for walks unless they're very old or you need it for therapy reasons. Dogs need to walk on their own. Cats are a totally different story, though–my friends have a therapy cat, and they use a stroller to go in and out of buildings.

  6. Am I the only one that cringes when hearing: "He's my baby, I can't have children (thus justifying the dog transfer), I just want him to do what he wants and love me"?!!! She woudn't be a great mother either with a mindset like that, you know? Dogs need directions…but children do too…

  7. I’m not sure why people are coming down so hard on this couple. I love the family they’re created with Savage. You can tell that he’s really loved and extremely cared for.
As a Chi owner myself who has trained her dog and never forgets she’s a dog; she’s absolutely my baby and I love her more than anything.
I also think their house is pretty rad!

  8. I have a chihuahu , got him when he was old enough to leave mom. He is not a barker and only tries to bite it you even pretend to attack me. His name is Ziggy. He liked to spin and try to catch his tail when he was younger.

  9. Hate if you want, but I don’t think making this dog feel like he’s the king of everyone is the right answer. Also, all the treats needed to sustain this.. are going to quickly turn that tiny animal obese. Just my take working in the veterinary field

  10. These are the kinds op people that give Chihuahuas a bad name. They need to be trained and socialized. Don’t accept anything from a Chihuahua that you wouldn’t accept from a big dog. My Chihuahua are lovely. Don’t yap and definitely don’t bite.

  11. If you cant stand the attitude you probably shouldnt get a Chihuahua, Pomeranian or Yorkshire terrier. They almost all seem to suffer from little dog syndrome but some of us love that because its hilarious to see a demon in 2 lb version bossing a 60 lb dg around lmao

  12. I have a tea cup chihuahua and I never put her in outfits like that. I will put her in a sweater if it’s cold outside because she gets cold very easily. I feel like that is animal cruelty to be dressing him up like that and that’s why he’s attacking the owners, he’s had it with them dressing him up.

  13. Love how understanding and patient the husband is. Any other person would be incredibly fed up at a dog that bites their spouse so hard they bleed and yet is still considered a priority, and yet when she explains why he's basically their surrogate child he still makes sure to squeeze her shoulder to comfort her. Simon's the real one!
