On the 5th Of August 2022 Kenyans went to the polling booth to decide who would become the next president .The two major candidates were a one time former prime minister Raila Odinga and Williams Ruto the vice president. Election results were announced and Willam Ruto was declared president.His opponent Raila Odinga went to court sighting election malpractise as a reason to disagree with the results .On Monday the 5th of September 2022 Williams Ruto was declared winner of the Kenyan Presidential election by the supreme and the result of the Independent Electoral Commission was upheld.
