Nia is very beautiful omg inside and out š so brave and consistent with her values one in a billion! What an incredibly driven determined individual I can't I just can't! š„°š„°š„°
š„ŗsometimes I wish I was straight so I could raise a vegan family with someone like Nia
If I ever visit California I will be checking out Sugar Taco for sure but in general you are so inspiring as a powerful woman in this world!
You should definitely come back on Nia! I hope you try Sugar Taco at some point!
This was one of my favorite shows you've ever done!
Amazing episode – love sugar taco!
This was an awesome episode. Thanks for all your hard work on this channel!!!
I got rid of all of my leather when I went vegan 6 years ago and never looked back. I knew that I could jot change the fact that it was created and thought that bit would be better for someone to have them that would use them. I still do have a visceral reaction to them. I understand Nia's point and can respect that works for her. I would just prefer to have fewer, more expensive pairs of shoes. Vegan leather can be created jn more sustainable ways now, from recycled materials, from recyclable materials and leather can be made from mushrooms, pineapple and others.
I am not the vegan police and I do think that people can wear used leather and still do the least harm bit for me, I feel like I neednto lead by example and wearing leather would be me saying that wearing leather is ok which may contribute to the want of more new product? If I buy mushroom leather, they make more mushroom leather?
I wish we had a sugar taco in nola!
I love seeing new, thriving vegan businesses, but at the same time I canāt help but have mixed feelings about them considering gentrification and the role that restaurants play. I know this isnāt just a vegan restaurant issue but still when you see trendy stuff popping up in places like Long Beach and the valley it definitely complicates it for me. We vegans have compassion for animals and the planet, what about long time residents and small business owners who are often people of color that get priced out or start to feel less at home in their communities? Iāve lived in Northeast LA my whole life and an a long time vegan, but when I see a new vegan place where my local burger place used to be for decades my heart is heavy.
Absolutely loved this episode and hearing Niaās story and perspective on veganism!
this was awesome!
