“Against All Odds” – Phil Collins (cover)

If I had to make a list of the top ten most nostalgic/significant/memorable songs from my childhood, this one would surely make the cut. As a little kid in the mid-80’s, I heard it a million times and was quite proud to get a sticker from my teacher on this page in my 1989 pop piano book, which I still have, yellowed pages and all.

Aside from this, I chose this song because I knew it would force me to push myself, and it certainly didn’t disappoint in that way.

Lastly….as we are all well aware here in the Midwest, “real” winter is still coming.
