Mani Nithyashree is a 19-year-old table tennis player from India and is currently the India Number 1 under 19. She started playing the sport at the age of 9 in 2012, introduced by her father who was a football player. As she played more, she developed a passion for the game and began
practicing 4-6 hours every day. She played state and national matches, but had a setback in her health and had to undergo a surgery for a dislocated hip bone. Despite the difficult time, she gathered strength from her loved ones and coach, and eventually emerged as India Number 6 in the nationals after the surgery. In 2015, she moved to the under 15 category and faced emotional struggles during puberty, but she continued to work hard and improve her game. She is an international table tennis player who represented India in many international tournaments conducted by WTT Youth contender and was selected as Khelo India Talent by Sports Authority of India (SAI).
