Soldier Boy is a movie based on the true story of the youngest soldier in World War II. The film begins in Russia where a family of three is spending time by a river. Sergey, the youngest, hits German fighter jets with his slingshot, causing them to explode. However, when he turns back to look at his family, they are gone. After a terrifying dream, Sergey wakes up and learns that his mother and brother are dead. He is forced to flee from enemy soldiers and finds himself alone without any friends or family. He spends the night in the forest and is startled by enemy soldiers the next day. The soldiers leave, and Sergey takes their leftovers and eats them all night. He is eventually found by a Russian army patrol and taken to Commander Kuznetsov. After recovering, Sergey becomes a part of the battalion, and the soldiers form a bond with him, viewing him as one of their own. When the Germans attack, the soldiers fight while escorting Sergey to safety. The commander gives Sergey infantry clothes, and he is referred to as their little soldier boy.
