So excited to see this interview with Mara! She seems very cool, sweet, and of course incredibly talented at what she does
When you fangirl so hard you croak. Girl – SAME. Can relate.
The dedication and attention to detail within the design department is no joke in IWTV! I am constantly rewinding to fully analyzing scenes. Furthermore the costumes make me want to play dress up until I die 😀 Great interview Autumn!!!🤩
I know that damn tree has something to do with Claudia
Amazing interview!!! I’m so in love with his Nola home, is like SO THEIR HOME! and also I LOVE ALL THE ART 🖼️ ONTHE ALL WALLS OF THE SHOW. (And omg the Dubai bedrooms looks so like a dungeon in a sexy way)
Autumn you knocked it out of the park again!
Mara?! THAT’S SO COOL!!!! I’m so in love with ‘support’ crew being just as beloved as the actors/show-runner in this fandom — sets/costumes/directors/writers/etc etc. Everybody is at the top of their game. ♥️♥️♥️
Also: it’s a baby 😌 lol
And maaaaaaaaybe things are on hold. No that she can confirm or deny anything. 😆
I just came across your videos at the start of season 2 and I’m loving your in depth thoughts of the episodes but also giving glimpses into the books for those who have not read them and the interviews with cast and crew it’s chefs kiss and I LOVE COMING BACK FOR MORE !!!😊
i need her to production design my life honestly, i need to LIVE in the look of the show. so beautiful
Thanks for another amazing interview!
It’s extraordinary how much work goes into a show. The behind the scene people are heroes.
Autumn, have you been to NOLA?
I went there for the first time last month for two weeks.
I hunted down all the filming locations from the show.
1132 Royal St is Lestat and Louis’ home and because it’s a museum so you can do a tour!
I told them I was a fan of the show so during the tour the guide pointed out everything.
Seeing the courtyard was great especially when she said the furnace was there for MONTHS
My apartment was near N.Rampart and Basin St where Storyville was. I went to St Augustine’s Church in the Treme where Lestat gives Louis the Dark Gift
Jackson Square is where they sit on the bench with St Louis Cathedral in the background, I sat on the same bench!
But unfortunately it’s closed at night!
It was so amazing to walk around where the show was set and filmed. If you haven’t been there I recommend it thoroughly!
There’s a huge vampire culture there too.
The Vampire Cafe, Boutique du Vampyre and Apothecary, their restaurant. There is also a vampire speakeasy called Potions you can get the password for from those three places.
YOU DID IT AGAIN! this was such an interesting and informative chance to listen to the mind of someone who manually creates the show, something that doesn't happen a lot!!! and it's so refreshing!!! thank you so much Autumn, really an amazing interview, hope you're having THE time of your life with these 💖
I swear your interviews with the cast and crew are the highlight of my week THANK YOU
love listening to people talk about their craft (that they clearly adore). thank you for this 💗
god, even listening to someone describing the feeling of new orleans gives me chills. was cool to hear mara mention the movie perfume – some parts of the show have even reminded me of it. i love hearing her passion about the show – it's nice to know everyone on the show loves the story as much as we do.
Loved this interview. Your informed questions really helped activate details in her answers that was most interesting. Also, thank you for addressing the influence of the Grand Guignol on the work of the Vampire company. Theatre nerds like me thank you for that. 🙂
Oh to dig around the art department and reseach notes, get my hot little hands on all the juciy details. So cool to hear how much collaboration and detail that goes into the entire visual feast of this show. Thank you for serving this up!! Dubai bedroom set tour when??
Such an incredible interview. As a fan I feel so spoiled.
Great interview!
Holy crap you’re scoring such amazing interviews! Thank you for highlighting perspectives that aren’t part of the usual press content! Mara’s job is so freaking cool 😊
Another brilliant interview!! I have to say, the triple combo of the episode, your reaction video, and the cast/crew interview make watching season two such a special experience. Coming across your channel in between seasons was just a gift that keeps on giving, and I cannot stress enough how much more excited you have made me about this show! You should be on that amc payroll, no joke
So happy to see Mara being given the chance to shine! Really impressed with how well you research your interviewees and that you give them time to go into such detail with their answers without rushing or talking over them like some do – great job, seriously! (If Daniel Hart or Carol Cutshall ever volunteer for interviews, I hope you say yes! 😉
I need her to design my home
I really love Mara's hairdo over here! this kind of hairdo really reminded me of a female otokoyaku (male role) in Takarazuka theatre troupe in Japan 👍🏽👍🏽
Dear Autumn! I'm from Russia. I am watching your interviews and reviews with great interest. Thank you for your charm, the ability to subtly and delicately listen to the interlocutor, and competently maintain a conversation. It's so nice to see how attentive you are to detail and how truly passionate you are about the Ann Rice show and books. Your channel has become my favorite, and I hope that over time all the fans of the show will join it. I will continue to watch you and rejoice at your success!
Dearest Autumn
Do you do subscriber requests?
If so, may I be so bold to see your thoughts on the mid-season trailer of IWTV Part II titled “Memory isn’t the only monster” please?
I’d love to know your thoughts on it. It’s rather juicy!
🖤🖤🖤
PS: did you see in the trailer for episode 5 that when Daniel first meets Louis and Armand in the gay bar Polynesian Mary’s that Armand’s eyes are orange and then flicker to brown!!?
