Drama Movie
Ann Sheridan Movie
A long-gone wayward man (Steve Cochran) returns sober to his wary wife (Ann Sheridan) and family in late-1920s rural Arkansas.
Old man, Applegate and his outhouse on Hooper Avenue in toms, River, New Jersey! Mischief night, he fooled us and moved the outhouse before we got there! Never forget it. Joined the Marine Corps shortly afterwards! Farm life was the best life!
This is a very enjoyable movie. 50's movies did present a certain quality that's gone nowadays. This is the first movie I've seen that has in it both Walter Brennan and Edgar Buchanan. These two actors were among the greatest character actors. There was something about them that was similar, maybe their acting style along with their unique voices and manner of talking, at least in their movie roles. I have no idea how they talked off screen. Thank you, WESTERN HOOD, for this unusual feel-good film.
Thanks for the video or the movie I've seen the movie years ago I'm 89 years old and I remember that but it's a very enjoyable fun movie I get nervous on some of the crime movies but this kind I kept pretty calm except a few times I can't explain because people say spoiler alert so I'll keep my thoughts to myself but thanks again and made the day perfect for me I'm a shut-in.
Great story, when films held meaning, unlike the garbage made today.
"Come Next Spring" 1956 Cochrans first self production, done very well, taking him out of his normal gangster or macho role.
Should read, After a 9 year Absence
One of the best family community stories. Too much darkness in certain times wasn’t required for affect.
Bout eight minutes into it i says to myself you know this might be halfway good.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Simple

My grandparents were share croppers. They were anything but lazy.
Quiet man type john Wayne good 😢
Walter brennons voice is raspy because of mustard gas in WWI
WHAT A GOOD MOVIE.I WISH WE COULD HAVE MORE DESCENT MOVIES LIKE THIS ONE
12 years later he returns and has a nine-year-old something fishy
Ten minutes into it. Hope it’s a good one. Love the prayer at dinner.
People are different now. 😕 raise your kids watching TV land shows teach them morals, they don't seem to include that these days.

Sherry Jackson! I knew it was her, Never saw her when she was that young. What a beautiful little girl – naturally!
I had a music box like that when I was about 10 or 12. It was so lovely.
Commercial brakes are too damn loud

That was a movie I could watch a million times. Just wonderful!
Hollywood couldn't make this today. It required some acting.
