AFTER 35 YEARS Will it RUN AND DRIVE 350 miles home?

Join us on an incredible journey as we attempt to revive a 1962 Ford Falcon that’s been sitting idle for most of its years in California since 1982. This classic beauty has been dormant for over four decades, but with determination and a little elbow grease, we’re determined to bring it back to life. Watch as we assess its condition, tackle the necessary repairs, and embark on the ultimate test – a 350-mile journey back home. Will this vintage Falcon roar back to life and hit the road once again, or will it prove too much for our revival efforts? Tune in to find out! 2. Great fail! Remember, one mans fail is the internets entertainment! I thought you guys did great, sometimes everything is a battle, and other times it just all falls in line. This one was a battle, hope to see you guys get it going once again.
On a side note: if you ver get another car from the Southwest/West…remember that the cooling systems are usually full of rust due to the fact that a lot of folks down here figure that straight water in the cooling system is just fine since it very rarely ever hits freezing in these locations.

  3. M sister iwned a Falcon and we drove it from St. Joseph, Misouri to Anaheim, California and slept five hours in a Motel in Gallup, New Mexico, Had oil changed in Flagstaff, Az. and we made it in thirty two hours Trouble free rinning at 65 M. P. H. getting 22 M. P. G. on gas and two Quarts of Oil and we burnt Non detergent on the Round Trip. That little motor was far better than my 1956 Victoria that ha to be rebuilt in Tucumcary, N. Mexico with a whole new Crank Shadt Rods and Bearings. and again on the Return Trip at Stratford, Texas , Ford.

  4. Man, weren't you ever told to never put coolant in when a motor is boiling and you killed the Motor? Looking at your advertisement on your shirt after seeing you do that, I am wondering just how experienced you truly are.

  5. Man oh man, I thought you might have fixed her up with that water pump. Even though it didn't make it. It was a pleasure to watch you two. Oh ya, the alternator swap was nice. Thank you for the video.

  6. Bummer.
It’s been my experience that some owners of cars in warm climates only run tap water in the cooling systems. Then, especially when the car sets up for an extended period, the cooling systems rust to the point of clogging the cooling passages. Sometimes a flush can help but with one as clogged as yours seems to be, in my experiences, that’s never fixed the problem. I don’t know if the engine can be saved by having it vatted then rebuilding it as I never tried but simply scrapped and replaced it instead.
Just the experiences of an old Texas shade tree. I wish you good luck whatever you decide to do with it.
