We visited adventure island back in April . Love the rides and a good price too . Was reluctant to go on axis but my son convinced me to go on it. It used to be me convincing him to go on the thrill rides ( not anymore 😂) Actually really enjoyed it and the hang time as you go over the top is pretty good too. Found it more intense then Shaun suggests though

Southend-On-Sea’s my local seaside resort that has so much potential that boasts so many attractions from historic heritage, wildlife conservation, vacations even It’s very own awesome endless amusement fun park Adventure Island. Adventure Island has come a long way on leaps and bounds progressing ever since my era early 80’s that It’s become a mini version of Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The entire staff have worked endlessly hard by keeping this amazing unique park maintained, I love how the park caters for everyone families to enjoy with free entry different riding options tickets wristbands, I love the positive atmosphere at Adventure Island especially all the staff engage with the tourists throughout the Day that’s completely full of happy positive vibes creating so many new experiences

Yes!! One of my favourite theme parks in the UK, axis is on point, finally got the nerve to ride it! Screature, absolutely amazing!!! Short queues and a go to park!
I go every weekend but it is amazing every single time and the staff are very energetic

Next time you do Southend. Get the ferry from Queenborough landing (sheppey) to Southend Pier with Jet Stream Tours. Good experience.

1000000% agree about Blackpool. When we go on a trip there is usually 3 of us but 1 of us doesn’t like rides so just goes to see tower etc but then can’t come in the park to watch the other 2 because she has to pay even though she won’t go on any rides
Hey Shawn, just been to Pettit's animal park their rides are really fun with loads of cool theming, as for great Yarmouth we had a great time lovely fish n chips at Christopher's cafe overlooking joyland unfortunately both fun parks were completely rammed with super long queue times even the car parks were completely rammed however we had pay by phone App how did you manage in the busy school holidays

Shawn you made a very uncommon mistake you don't ever but scorpion went in 2018 and the ride you said vortex went this year after 21 years it's my local park as I live in Essex but yeah just to let you know
ex employee of the park here: the area cleared that you refer to is going to be filled by an observation wheel similar to the london eye. construction starts this autumn.
does anyone know if the park is open this saturday on July 30, on the opening times it says it is but just wanted some more confirmation
They must have listened to you they have put in planing application for new big wheel and a 38.2 Metre drop tower
