Adeptus Custodes Deep Dive. The ULTIMATE Warriors? | Warhammer 40k Lore

The Adeptus custodies are 8-9 foot tall golden demigods, each a one man army. its like an entire faction of maxed out video game characters. they are that RIDICULOUS! but they have the best training, the best equipment, and they are immortal! but for how great they are… they have spent the thousands of years since the Horus heresy doing nothing. well not literally nothing, but they haven’t been participating in the larger fight. now in Warhammer 40k, the God Emperor’s 10,000 are needed once again… lets take a deep dive into the Custodian guard! the royal guard of god himself!

  1. I didn't see this mentioned here, but one question. How would the primarchs compare to the Custodes? In power and capability, seeing how the primachs got yeeted thrue the galaxy before training, I would assume that the custodes would outrank and outperform them. is that right?

  2. Slannesh will swear to celibacy, Khorne will become a pacifist, Nurgle will take a bath and Tzeentch will make a decision before a Custodes will be corrupted by chaos.

  3. But they're not doing nothing. What about the "War within the Web" ? And how are the Custodes compared to Primaris Space Marines? Were the Companions called Praetorians back in the day?

  4. Their only weakness was as Argel Tal stated "they fight like lions, not like wolves" they don't coordinate as a pack compared the legionaries of the pre-heresy and it was their main weakness

  5. The Custodes very well do antagonize and such.
Master of Mankind: War in the Webway, Diocletian Coros was being an absolute douchebag to Dominion Zephon about his arms. Just treated him, his respect for the people extremely poorly. Then just dipped, leaving Zephon to his confusion, not letting him fight and refused to explain shit.

So yes. Custodes are and can be extremely vindictive and antagonistic.

  6. Ya know this might just be me but the DAoT for humanity was their golden age in WH 40K but at the same time I do not think it was their peak which is kinda sad like humanity comparatively in WH 40k compared to the likes of the Old Ones, Necrons etc.

  7. I believe – as the Custodians are made to excel at any discipline both martial and academical and even aid/counsel the emperor himself and are/were around him all the time I strongly belief that they know how to make more of themselves pretty much. I would not wonder, if they won't need techpriests or apothecaries. I even would not wonder, if they were to know the process on how to make a primarch but won't do it as this is the Emperor's privilege to do so.

  8. Alpharius did not make it to the Golden Throne, he made it to an area where the emperor's gunship landed to enter the palace where he had the shot autumn and had the gun batteries to Target the gunship as well. He did not surrender either mcador the sigilite told them to stop after valdor attacked. You mentioned the book but you still got the information wrong…
