It finally happened, y'all… after almost 3 years of listening to hip-hop. I said just enough of "it" to warrant clipping out 1 second of the vid. I considered trying to clip all evidence of the slip up, but I think it's better to show that I make mistakes just like anyone else. And you get to see my reaction to my own slip of tongue.
Hopefully this doesn't offend (it's certainly not intended to)

  2. One of the good things about your channel Bob is not only do we get to see you react to things, we can also begin to see the things that you're into. I wasn't sure if you would be into this album even through it's greatness because it's not easy to digest and a ton of hood storytelling but it's good to see you finally warmed up to it a bit. I think Stillmatic is essential listening for the next Nas album but I'd definitely say DO NOT skip over Lost Tapes. Even though that's somewhat of a compilation album it's very cohesive and contains some of his more personal tracks. God's Son and Life Is Good IMO you should definitely listen to as well. After that, I'd skip over to the King's Disease trilogy.

  3. Nas was correct, they were copying him.
the "Street Dreams" beat for example. 2Pac tok it and used it for "All Eyes on me"
also the mafioso era, Nas was part of that starting with his feature on Cuban Linx.
thats where Nas Escobar comes from, It Was Written is him leveling up

  4. Nas didn’t copy anyone kool g rap is the godfather to mafia rap he started it. Nas is on his album cover. The World is Yours video Scarface references Nas was on Az do or die Mobb deep Infamous Raekwon Only built for Cuban Linx. Nas was a pioneer in bringing the style to the forefront it’s so much false information to Nas career

  5. You won’t find an album with better rapping than IWW. Word for word, line for line; this is the best ever. The best MCs of today are doing their best IWW rendition when it comes to bar work

  6. man i resonate with your additional thoughts very much, this album just grows on you over time. back when this came out it was on cassette mainly and artists would make albums tailored for listening on cassettes, meaning you cant put it on random or skip around tracks so it was highly prefered if the album could play from front to back without "fast forwarding"

  7. It’s actually Kool Keith n Take it in Blood”. He obviously did a guest appearance on that band you’re talking about! Kool Keith is from The UltraMagnetic MCs, a trail blazing Group from the mid 80’s!
