  1. Alastor had a really good chance of going against Adam, but he wanted to play with him before getting serious. He wasn't expecting Adam to break his staff though, which did supply at least a bit of his power. That's why he appears so weak.

  2. Okay, but you guys, there is something way cooler happening here.

His: "What just happened?… Fuck!" Was exceptionally captured. Seemed very organic for someone in mild shock. HOWEVER, the contrast that we overlooked (which I have no idea how we overlooked it) is that he even dropped the transatlantic accent. This is significant because, this "old timey" accent WAS FAKE. It never existed. It was used soley to be understood better on old radio. IRL this is how alastor really talked. HIS PITCH even changes. In short, that line delivering was spectacular because, it shows he literally forgot himself. That hit him harder than breaking his radio demon mask. It broke alastors personal bearing for a second and left him VULNERABLE. With the historical fact that his actual speaking voice would be unaccented. Rad.
In short, that line is the ONLY line where you hear alastor the mortal as he once was.

  3. "What's the point of letting someone else kill your enemy if you want to have that glory?" -A Wise Man

Note: Vox was the real coward as he hid in his bunker, while Alastor stood in the open and fought… at least until Alastor was injured, but still that's better than hiding.

  4. What i love about this scene, is that it shows alastor knows his limits, knows WHAT he is capable of. he knew he couldn't beat adam, so, rather than continuing to fight, and knowing he would totally die if he DID continue, he decided to end the battle. it makes him scarier, knowing HE chooses when he wants to end a fight.
