Adam Curry thinks that it’s time for Americans to relearn some of the critical cultural lessons that authors like George Orwell wrote about so powerfully in decades past. Whether the answer is religious faith, civic involvement, or something as simple as socializing in-person, we still have all the tools we need to flourish if we want to get serious about it.
Adam first became a household name as an MTV VJ, but that was only the start of his nearly four-decade crusade to revolutionize media. Since childhood, he has been obsessed with using cutting-edge technology to improve the ways that humans communicate ideas, from building MTV’s first website to bringing Bitcoin micropayment to podcasting.

I went camping in August with my family. Forgot the phone battery charger so I had to stay off the phone to conserve the battery. It was like a mini detox from social media. The best I’ve felt in a long time. More peace. Less anxiety.
Talking to people in line is AMAZING, I've met so many cool people that way.
