Hyperion Joycon overview: They are very comfortable, have GYRO, Rumble (standard) and a proper D-Pad. Plus they charge normally on the Switch. Great Joycon.

  1. These are the highest scores for all of the games we reviewed per month – keep an eye out for a second video which will look at the highest scored games throughout the year regardless of month before 2023 is out!

  2. Yay, a bonus video!!! 2023 was a really great year for games, my backlog has been growing instead of shrinking. Not to mention there’s a few I’m looking forward to in 2024… I’m always going to have a backlog, aren’t I? 😅

  3. I think Octopath 2 would have done alot better in general if it wasn't release so close to TOTK.
Although a few other games could have done better if they were released at a different time. 2023 has been such a good year for those that enjoy video games.

  4. I didn't know about Bleak Sword (was out of the loop for a while). Glad you have it in this video. Will definitely check it out and buy. Strong year for Nintendo Switch Games. Hogwarts and Mario Wonder should also be here. Arkham and MK 1 could've been here if it weren't for their performance issues during launch.

  5. The FF pixel remaster allowed me to collect "gold points" with my asian physical. Which has never happened. That means that version is identical to the one they limited released here in the US (and cost less to ship) what on earth was that about? You should very well be able to buy that in a store

  6. Somehow I missed the review of the monochrome game, it looks great. Also the fzero 99 is great I don't even like fzero and it's good that risk and reward balance is what makes it awesome

  7. Mario Wonder was a breath of fresh air that finally broke the mold of the new SMB games. Octopath Traveller 2 I started playing just the day before & having a spectacular time so far!! 🤩

  8. I own Persona 4 Golden on 2 handheld systems (switch and ps vita) and have convinced several friends to play it on the go through Xbox cloud. If that doesn't tell you it's one of the best games ever, I dunno what will.

  9. My stats for the year of Switch playtime came in, 124hrs. That's 2.38hrs per week. For something I thought I enjoyed and spent quite a bit of money on – I think I spend more time watching videos about games than actually playing them. So the library concept to lend everything to people in the community has to happen.

  10. Such a great list. I didn’t even remember Octopath II coming out this year, it felt like longer. Octo II is a must buy and it is a crime it was forgotten/left out in the year end awards.
