They cost $60 Million brand new and were modified with advanced cameras, avionics, radars, and surveillance tools to spy on the enemy. Can they be saved? These planes are still worth millions in nice condition, and these are available for just a small fraction of that. Will these engines start up and run after many years?     These planes were very well taken care of. As much time as they had, I never felt nervous about flying them as far as maintenance was concerned.

  2. Used to kill mosquitoes in FL 250K, be glad you did pursue that one. It wasn't pressurized, I used to drop sterile fruit flies from the same King Airs and spray for mosquitoes. Some of their fleet served in Vietnam. Company is Dynamic Aviation.

  3. They really are scrap also though unless you got a lot of money laying around to throw at them it will be a mistake to buy these at any price including free so you think all those people that looked at those planes then backed out were just retarded really

  5. The bidders most likely wanted the, FLIR observation equipment with all the avionics. The planes are not really worn out, they have just been de-certified after government service contract has been completed. In fact in my observations with government planes and equipment, the plates are taken out as per contract. So that if any civilian class Corporation wants to use them after government service they have to be re-certified either by the original manufacture’s or by a licensed agent Corporation. That’s how the military industrial complex works. Hence the gigantic storage yards out in the,Deserts. You can get approval to purchase any of those planes in the Desert storage yards, but trying to get them to a safe operating condition that’s a time for another video broadcast and comments much to long for this format. In fact it’s not the age of the aircraft but how fatigued the airframe gets with the compression and tension stresses of the metal airframe. It’s even more severe on pressurized aircraft. Remember there are still, WW I and WW II airframes still flying today. The amount of testing to visually assure no cracking issues for inflight service it is a lot of cost incurred. But you have to have an intact plan and great business model to use those aircraft to make it worth the expense. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if the avionics and FLIR equipment was purchased by another government contractor that already has existing contracts somewhere with another government agent or corporation somewhere on the globe. Hence the bid information sometimes is a Non-disclosure contract as to who purchased the former planes. This would be done as to hide the original government owners of the planes. Sometimes and in past purchases, States of Ohio, Arizona, Colorado have purchased planes of such spy caliber, only to have been criticized as to why and for what purpose by the Tax payers. Also inter department government agencies like the, BATF purchasing such military equipment has also been criticized by Tax payer watch dog Organizations. That’s why in order to hide budgets of Tax payer funded questionable programs everything has been on Omnibus bills as passed by the, Communist Democrat terrorist bills to fund more than the, “Skunk Works budgets.” Worked with all three forms of government, they are all filled with, “over ambitious Narcissistic type personalities.” But very few quality people exist in these bureaus now. Get a job in government and you’ll discover what I’m talking about. The governments across the globe have not changed since the old day’s of the, Roman Empire, it’s just the games of the blood spirts are just not in the, Colosseum anymore.

  6. An airplane more so than a lot of other hardware is a bad deal when it is free. There are a lot of early Falcons, Citation, Gulfstreams and Commanders that are worthless even free. They are too expensive to operate. You might consider a Lockheed JetStar. Impressive, 4 engines and worthless.
