1. it's worth noting when looking at the fine print of that Crisis Core resolution/frame rate chart SE put out that it mentions the game uses a "variable frame rate with the described values as the maximum"

2. Not seeing anything on my wishlist low enough to be worthwhile for Black Friday. Was hoping to see Valkyrie Elysium for $30 or less, Stranger of Paradise for $20 or less and any sale for Trails from Zero but no dice 😪. By the time I get through my backlog I figure prices will drop so holding off for now. Did get Harvestella and preorders for Azure and Loop8 from Targets buy 2 get 1 free couple weeks ago and paid full price for Zero since it doesn’t seem like price will drop before Christmas.

3. To be honest, i cannot differentiate 30 fps and 60 fps. As someone who not interested on FPS or many action game, frame rate is not in my checklist how to judge a good game.

4. Play Mugen Soul on PS3. Finish the story but never platinum it. I need Goku to make 10,000,000,000 km wide spirit ball trophy 😂😂 (PS: cannot make it to the live chat, so i comment here as the video progress)

5. The Pokemon game is really great. Completed it yesterday. 8.5/10. It really over performed for how low the bar was set in my head. If they can just fox the graphical issues they’ll have a 9/10

7. Not enough time to finish Monochrome Mobius before mid december when I want to play Atelier Ryza 2. Also currently they are some annoying bugs like the text is not showing when I start the game. It was fixed with a restart of the game but still a bit annoying. But I'm looking forward to play it and the OST is really good.
   But the first 5 Minutes I saw where great for me. And also because I just had finished Xenoblade 3 when I started it I thought ok I'm not ready for another game that destroys me emotionally because thats what every Utawarerumono game did at the end.

13. I love the steam deck, I use it to emulate rpgs I never got to play. And the cheapest one is 400$, the more expensive one is close to 700$.

14. Is Crisis Core Reunion a Remake or a Remaster? 🤔 I'd call it a Reimagined version. Or perhaps an Enhanced Edition. I'd say a Remake specifically needs to be made with new source code. (Aka, from the ground up) The game however, imo is indeed more than a simple Remaster. So to keep things simple, how about Remaster+ ?👌😅

15. I would call crisis core a "remaster plus." The combat has been tweaked and new summon cinematics, those are the two new things. Everything else is the same, just looks alot better. compare this to lets say resident evil 2 remake, which you can definitely call a full remake. But that's just my opinion.

17. I think my stance on the frame rate vs. fidelity thing is that "sub-par" cases of either can be totally fine. Personally, I begin to have issues when one or the other is distracting and takes me out of the experience of the game.

    30fps can be absolutely playable, but if it's not stable and feels clunky or like things are stuttering, then it can be distracting (I'd say more-so nowadays considering the power of modern consoles and PCs). And similarly with graphics: I can and do enjoy all eras of games. But if the lack of resolution or some other graphical factor distracts from the experience, then it's an issue.

    Basically, if I don't notice it and I can enjoy the game for what it is, then it's fine. There's no set number or ratio or whatever for me personally where I can know if a game is "playable" or not. I of course love things to look as stunning and play as well as they possibly can, but it all boils down to what the overall experience was at the end of the day.

    To the specific point of the ToS remake, I have the GC version that I still need to play so I don't have a strong opinion on it. But I think if I was invested in it, my issue would be that a 60fps version of this game already exists and is therefore possible. On 20-year-old hardware nonetheless. I'm no programmer by any means, but I just can't imagine why they couldn't get this port of the PS3 version to run at 60fps. That being said, if it's a super stable 30fps and you don't feel it detracting from the game experience, then cool.

20. guys on the next episode can you share ur thoughts on square enix releasing lots of RPGs in a 3-4month time window. Makes no sense to me. I was happy they were investing again on these titles, but this concentration seems only to do harm to sales. Most people won’t buy 5-6 games in 3 months and then they’ll say games sales “didn’t meet expectations “

21. If you need to lower the resolution to have a solid frame rate, That's incompetence on the developer's part. It's not that we have to squint to look at 30 frames per second, we don't want to give square our money for another lazy remaster. I recognize the game was like that at launch back on the PS1, But that means I should just torrent the original. They put so little effort into making it modernized.

For me short rpg's are okay but I rather have the chunky jrpg that has backstory great character development side quests etc. It's like books everyone enjoys a good short read but if you want the REAL good stuff you read the thick book series. For example people think that Undertale is some kind of perfect masterpiece but it's actually not its a good game but certainly no 10/10 it's more of 6/10 game which is still a good rating.
