Someone rightly said , “ One can learn from the Fog that one has to go ahead when one can not see anything in the front , and the more one proceeds, the more things come in sight “. So also is our life, as you sow, so will you reap. If you do good deeds, you will get rewarding results. There is a disheartening tale in this regard.Long long ago there lived a Tyrant king who accumulated a huge wealth like diamond, gold, pearl, coins and many more similar precious metals which he took in his possession by snatching, torturing or by the use many other illegal means of cheating his poor, innocent subjects. The king took the help of one of the most faithful ministers in his pre-planned atrocities. Both of them used to carry these wealths inside a deep forest surrounded by hills and made a secret treasury. There were two keys, one held by the king and another by the faithful minister. At times the king himself used to go to the site to keep the wealths, and sometimes his only minister. One fine day the king set out for the site riding his horse alone without the knowledge of anyone. He opened the door and got inside and took a glimpse of the wealths he had accumulated over the years after years. He was so overwhelmed that at times he picked some jewellery and kissed and then kept back and he continued to do so for a long time. By that time he felt hungry and thirsty. In the meantime, his minister came over there while passing by the nearby road and saw the door of the treasury open, he developed a doubt whether he closed the door of the treasury as he only came last time. But to his surprise he noticed that the door remained unlocked. He thought that he might have forgotten to lock the door. He, therefore, immediately locked the door and went back to the palace. The king, after his mind filled with joy, finally decided to return to the palace, so when reached the door, found it locked from outside. He shouted for help several times but it all went unheeded. He then went back near the heap of wealths and thought, ” Hey! The king, your illegal wealth will neither give a drop of water nor a single grain of food’ The king realised his death was sure to happen after a few moments, he immediately made bed on the floor out of some of the wealth. He ,then, thought to leave some message for the world that his accumulated life-time wealth could give him neither a drop of water nor a grain of food and wrote on the wall of the treasury with his own blood by breaking his finger by means of a piece of stone; then breathed his last. Here, in the palace, when the minister could not see the king and thought that he (the king) might have gone hunting because it was the hobby of the king. But when he did not return for more than a fortnight, the minister then set out with his army to look for the king all round.
Then the minister suspected something other than auspiciousness. He thought the king might have been either kidnapped by some dacoits or eaten up by some tiger-like animal. It then occurred to his mind why not to go to the treasury and steal some of the precious wealths for himself, because nobody knew when the king would return if all he(the king) would return. He then immediately went to the treasury, opened the door and found, to his surprise, the dead body of the king and noticed what message the king left in writing on the wall with his blood.
The story is small but it is no doubt motivational, letting us learn a lesson we should run after wealth, rather we should invest something in our soul through some good deeds which may accord some peace to our soul and help get blessings from the almighty.
